I would imagine a community can ban any use, yes. But given the amount of instances there are and that you will have a different username I don't think it would be easy to track. I'm far from an expert though!

At least you can join different instances! And then you can still follow and participate in the same communities even if you were to get banned, there's at least some variety in the personal beliefs of people running them!

The liftoff app doesn't support Kbin so I guess that could be a barrier?

I keep trying to get my husband to stop checking Reddit and sign up for an alternative and in the meantime I'm sending as many awesome posts from them as I can ๐Ÿ˜‚

Oh got it! I thought I was seeing posts from those communities on Liftoff but I was confused because if I actually go to their page it still says "subscription pending" ๐Ÿ˜‚

How come whenever I subscribe to a Lemmy on a different instance it just says "subscription pending?" I don't know if these means I'll never actually be subscribed, or if I am and will see the posts in my feed but am not counted among subscribers from that instance? I'm not tech savvy so I'm hoping someone can help!
