⨂︎ and ⌽︎ not getting the love they deserve.
Not uplifting. CEOs are literally there to be pushed out whenever things hit the fan - just so the company is seen to be doing something. Nothing will change. Profits will stay. The rich will keep getting richer. Move along, plebs.
Some of it may be, but the fact that the LTS versions (20.04 & 22.04) are downloaded overwhelmingly more than the others seem to indicate it's more intentional.
(oversimplified) they are "interconnected" just like emails are interconnected. I can log into Gmail and send an email to someone else at Hotmail. But I can't actually use Gmail credentials to log into Hotmail.
In the 'verse, "Federation" means every instance (I'm on aussie.zone) holds a copy of every other instance (I can see your post without ever visiting lemm.ee). This reply I'm posting is held in my instance, and a copy is sent to yours (and the whole Federation will also hold a copy and be able to see my comment).
If lemm.ee shuts down tomorrow, this conversation we're having will remain to exist in the thousands of other instances that are federated with lemm.ee today.
shocked! who could seen that coming?
Someone using old.reddit who can still see the sidebar warning?
The worst are digital goods like games. Even after currency conversion and taxes are accounted for, nobody could explain the extra 10-20% a.k.a. the "f you" tax.
I read the title 10 times and was still confused until I saw your comment. And I'm not even dyslexic.
Or am i...?
Thanks for taking the time. This is wonderful.
I'm no veg(etari)an by any measure, but I have this to say to people who are exclusively meat-eaters: you're missing out on a world of interesting flavours and textures.
Next time you make chicken curry, replace half the chicken with tofu. Bolognese - do half lentils & kidney beans. Beans and legumes are cheap as, great for the current economic climate (and the real climate, I guess..)
PS: mushrooms are the food of gods. There's just so many varieties, you can use them for nearly anything.
Apple seems to have different weighting rules than Android. I'd be interested to see what their regional Play Store looks like.
Also, 2.7 on Australian play store 👍
Oh that's not uncommon in the industry. Especially when dealing with legacy code.
Personal best was 40k lines in a file called misc.c
containing all the global functions that don't fit anywhere else.
Runner up was the one where each developer dumped their miscellaneous functions in their own files, so they don't have to deal with merge conflicts. Which means we had x1.c, x2.c, x3.c ... etc.
My understanding of the joke is less about tables, more about pontification; I.e. "it is so because we say it is".
