Living in a big city really makes idiocracy feel like it is a plain depiction of the future.
Thanks for answering but I have no idea how that works. Additionally, I got it working now. It is running at 60+ frames after I chose steam linux runtime in the compatibility options.
I don’t think this fits here. Nobody on the internet is ever wrong! /s
Thanks for the advice! :)
Interesting! I assume it would be possible to change the u‘s for v‘s or the e for a 3, the s for a 5 but I suppose thats not important. :)
I‘m very curious how people choose the current shitty system over something made by autistic people for nds just because AI or [person]. You folks probably have no problem finding awesome jobs. Surprise: a lot of us are getting pretty fucked by the current system.
I can see that being a problem, yes. Thanks for elaborating.
I got an iphone and I use element client which generally works well but I somehow can’t open your link and I cant find the room on matrix.org. No idea how to proceed. Got any hints? :)
I think it’s great that they’re doing this. I hope they abuse their userbase more and more. It’s literally the best thing to happen for the fediverse.
Yes, the first one is familiar. I was kind of ok with it at the time but linus‘ condescending demeanor was kind of already obvious. I wrote it off at the time since I‘m autistic and also often get told I come across condescending. There you see why people need labels… we wouldn’t take it as personal if he was openly autistic (which I believe he is).
I didnt see the linux challenge but I saw when he wanted to change his gaming pc. Was it that? I would love if was more positive towards open source and stuff. But he‘s on the other side of the fence I suppose.
I wasn’t here 2 months ago. What changed dramatically? Also, I think people talking down on lemmy while being on reddit are justifying staying on the titanic because the lifeboats are bot what they paid for.
Interesting typo. Puts your default language to german. :)
But to answer your question: There are two not uncommon things I‘d like you to rule out.
- defective ethernet port, just now gave up
- some kind of „wrong port“ situation where one swears they used this one but it actually was another port they used earlier (happened to me once).
If both are ruled out, check if the network adapter is showing „up“ or working condition even without the cable.
I‘ve had a situation where my network adapter was „down“ because I installed it later and the installation (ubuntu in my case) didn’t know it and when I rebooted it defaultet to eth2 instead of eth0 or something.
Good luck.
It is a education problem imo. Keeping masses in check is very easy if they lack critical thinking and have a tv in every room.
