Finally. I feel like this is the first time they shot any down. So far they only observed in any NATO country. Hope they keep shutting them down from now on.
Knew a guy who married someone who was like this. Months prior he was so proud and happy with his switch. I could see a light go out in him and it was so sad.
Microsoft is such a horrid company.
I know a few people who drink the right wing coolaid and hate renewables, but they also think China is a great place and outsmarting western democracies at every turn. Cognitive dissonance is a hell of a drug.
Good thing solar and other renewables are still going strong some placed at least.
EU already has this with the GDPR. Only limitation are retention periods required by law, like employee data needs to be kept for ten years in Germany for example, but for the duration whoever has the data must block it from being processed for anything but the legal requirment, as that becomes the legal basis for processing (storing in this case) and no other uses are allowed until deletion.
Only applies to EU citizens though plenty companies have implemented straightforward ways to delete an account for everyone.
This AR obsession is utterly baffling to me. There are so few real applications and the hardware requirements are insane so it's not something that will get widely adapted anyway. Sure in a decade or so it might have matured enough to have shed all these issues, but AR/VR feels like a really out of touch thing to prusue, especially if you look at the garbage ideas they have on how to use it - virtual meetings??
I get movies and games on these, possibly even some recording and porn, but these are not their B2B wet dreams anyway.
But following the announcement, he received a text from "a very good friend who is the mother of a trans child," linking him to a Book Riot op-ed entitled, An Open Letter to John Lithgow: Please Walk Away from Harry Potter.
As for whether the criticism has soured the role for him, Lithgow replied, “Oh, heavens no.”
Oh fuck off. Shame, I really liked 3rd Rock from the Sun.
"Dopamine Nation" is a good book on this whole issue. I really wonder how much the dead internet theory might play a role in eventually breaking this cycle, or just younger generations being contrarian to older generations.
Completely mind boggling what's going on there. The amount of work to be put in to fix all this is enormous. I truly wish everyone involved nerves of steel and the best of luck.
Thank you, appreciate it! Added the link to the body of it, too.
Sehr gut.
