Lol, there was a chat feature??
Airbnb is a bane on our society and massive contributer to the housing shortage.
This company needs to get sued into oblivion with their shitty practices and non transparent charges.
No idea about recourse in BC, but in Ontario former tenants have a year after a bad faith eviction to go after landlords for moving costs and a year's worth of rent difference the tenant has to pay at the new location, there may be some other things I'm missing. Unfortunately, I think the max is up to 35k, which sadly may not even cover the cost in loses.l, but better than nothing.
I hope there is something like that there. greedy landlords are a big part of the housing issues we are experiencing. Too many landlords that operate like cowboys in the wild west. They need to be penalized.
Not sure how to feel about this story. A relief for the family, but yeah, depending on what his status is when found maybe he didn't want to be found?
It's trying hard to be a feel good news story, but doesn't give any info on his status. If he was homeless and suffering from mental illness in the states, then of course it would be a good ending.
However, if he left to completely cut ties with family for whatever reason, then it certainly wouldn't be a good news story for him.
They will be reunited, wonder if that will be the case or if he will disappear again before that can happen.
Oh no!!!
Anyway.
And she didn't. And mostly men around america make it a massive political issue. I'm not condoning the length of time it took her to decide.
But I'm also not conding your response saying she had x amount of time, avoiding my inquiry about the ability to not be a good parent. What's worse? A small amount of time for a fetus, or a lifetime when the kid boils to death in the car cause mommy wanted to go shopping?
Quit wishing misery on birthed children all in the name of a life. It doesn't work that way.
If it was her body her choice, and she had education about it, or possibly free access to birth control, this might not have been a story. Sadly, it seems America is walking backwards with women's reproductive rights.
I'm not going to get worked up about a woman aborting her fetus for whatever reason. Make all other options more attainable and then it's a conversation to have, but not really. If I found out my wife would have a higher than average statistical chance of dying while giving birth, she could make her choice. My preference would be, let's just try for another and hope it doesn't put her life at more risk.
This isn't the case here, but how about we throw pitchforks at the penis that impregnated this young woman? It does take 2.
Air&b is a plague on affordable rentals and housing.
Didn't they suggest that aspartame could cause cancer way back in the late 80s or early 90s?
I remember growing up hearing about something like that when sweet and low was the go to sugar.
It seemed to kind of just fall of the face of the earth and is resurfacing now?
Just start saving when you are born and if you save enough you might be able to put a down payment on a house when you are 40 and qualify for a 90year mortgage.
This hits really hard for someone that experienced multiple years of anosmia.
Somebody would say something smells bad, and it really bothered me that I couldn't smell it.
Then when I started regaining a sense of smeel (post surgery) the smells I was able to pick up were always bad. The first time I could smell nice things like cooking, or perfume, I was elated.
Going from, I ate meat that was off because I couldn't smell it was off or really taste it, to being able to smell cooking was amazing. I will never take the sense of smell for granted ever again.
Totally agree with this one.
I drive an old 06 and I much prefer using the the physical buttons to adjust things like music, volume, air settings. Even prefer using it to back up and having to use my mirrors and look back.
My '18 vehicle is all touch screen, cameras, etc. While the a/c functions better and I don't feel like my fillings are going to fall out from all the rattles and bumps, I find there is a real disconnect. I am even asked by others why I lean over and look at the back window when reversing.
I work in tech and I don't trust tech.
Holy shit, if people thought 5G causes cancer what will they think of 10G?
