Sounds like "we have unlimited funding and resources but that only gets us our current loser military, we need a new super military which will cost double." I don't know shit but it sure sounds like an scheme to dump even more money into the military.

"Cut military funding? You don't want to lose to the Chinese, do you?? Have you heard what they did to the Uighurs?" Infinite gas lighting from the ghouls printing money at the money printer, while we choke and die on microplastics patiently waiting outside the hospital we can't afford

Oh I have a good one. I worked at a paint store for like 15 years. One day, this guy drives up in a Mercedes, wearing a Burberry scarf, and asks me for "Black Marine Paint." We were a housepaint store so I told him we didn't have it, we didn't sell paint for boats, and what was he wanting to paint. He said he wanted to paint his front door, and the doors at Buckingham palace are painted with black marine paint, and did I know what he meant. I said I didn't know about the doors on Buckingham palace, and he indignantly says, "What?! It famous like the doors of the White House!" I told him I wasn't familiar with the doors of the white house either.

But I start showing him some oil based paint and he seems happy with it. He's about to buy when he asks what he should do to strip the paint off of his door, since its latex and this new paint is oil. His eyes narrow and he skeptically asks me, "can you put latex over oil?" I said sure, if you use a primer. He gets real angry and, as two new customers walk in, screams, "You're a fucking idiot!" storms out and gets into his Mercedes which the two women had parked beside.

They give me a look, I shrug and walk over to help them pick out colors. When they are done they go out to there car, but a minute later come back and ask me I I knew the guy, and to come outside.

Someone, I presume the Burberry guy, had kicked in the door to their car, leaving a huge foot shaped dent. I assume he thought it was my car or something.

I've definitely had bad experiences at that job, but that entitled freak stands out to in my memory years later

It is the absolute interest of every capitalist to press a given quantity of labour out of a smaller, rather than a greater number of labourers, if the cost is about the same. In the latter case, the outlay of constant capital increases in proportion to the mass of labour set in action; in the former that increase is much smaller. The more extended the scale of production, the stronger this motive. Its force increases with the accumulation of capital

-- Karl Marx, Das Kapital

Basically if your boss is paying you and your coworkers overtime, then they're just not paying another employee. You make a little more money but your boss makes a lot more, and has no incentive to hire another person. In fact as long as he can get people to work overtime, its actually against their interest to hire more people. The whole time they're crying how none wants to work, but really they're not willing to hire anyone unless it is for less than half of your salary. If they do they lose money.

From what I understand, they already have access to it, so it's not that they want access, I think they want to prevent Lebanon from accessing it. Hezbollah kicked Israel's butt the last time they went to war, and since the second Intifada Palestinian militants have learned a lot of tactics from Hezbollah. But Lebanon is in crippling inflation, and they're desperate to access fuel.

So on top of the mindless killing, this is the first time Palestinians have the training and a lot of the equipment to fight back against Israel. The best scenario for Israel is to keep the Palestinians mostly alive but stuck in camps because they serve as a reserve army to maintain a standard of living for the colonists. But if the Palestinians have the will and the means to actually fight? That Israel's political justification for enacting a second Nakba on the Palestinians.

Hell yeah, I got to work on this campaign. It feels really great to have worked on a historic campaign like this one. We spent the last 8 months making calls and sending texts and knocking doors. To actually win something, to get good news in Ohio of all fucking places feels really great.

There's still a ton of work ahead, the Republicans don't give a shit about the law or the constitution, but its a win for the people and a blow against demoralization and defeatist realism and for now that feels pretty good!

First, the fact that labor is external to the worker, i.e., it does not belong to his intrinsic nature; that in his work, therefore, he does not affirm himself but denies himself, does not feel content but unhappy, does not develop freely his physical and mental energy but mortifies his body and ruins his mind. The worker therefore only feels himself outside his work, and in his work feels outside himself. He feels at home when he is not working, and when he is working he does not feel at home. His labor is therefore not voluntary, but coerced; it is forced labor. It is therefore not the satisfaction of a need; it is merely a means to satisfy needs external to it. Its alien character emerges clearly in the fact that as soon as no physical or other compulsion exists, labor is shunned like the plague. External labor, labor in which man alienates himself, is a labor of self-sacrifice, of mortification. Lastly, the external character of labor for the worker appears in the fact that it is not his own, but someone else’s, that it does not belong to him, that in it he belongs, not to himself, but to another. Just as in religion the spontaneous activity of the human imagination, of the human brain and the human heart, operates on the individual independently of him – that is, operates as an alien, divine or diabolical activity – so is the worker’s activity not his spontaneous activity. It belongs to another; it is the loss of his self.

So I'm not sure what other people's experience with Bedbugs are, but i just wanted to put this out, there's this biopesticide called Aprehend that actually works. It has to be put on with a special sprayer that costs like $500 but ya boy juice knows everything about paint sprayers, and found a $60 airbrush to put it on with.

I couldn't get completely rid of them for years. I can't tell you how many steam treatments, and treatments with temprid (which is good) I had done over the years...but they always came back. I threw out all the furniture, I bought new beds, everything. My house is only like 2 years old and they were in the fucking walls.

One treatment of Aprehend and a week later they were done. The product was expensive but for like $300 I was done with bedbugs and had enough product to treat 5 houses. They are a trauma. If anyone is struggling with them DM me and I'll tell you what I've learned

I got called out for saying this once. At first I was like "what's racist about rice" but when I googled it everything that came up was an explicitly anti-asian meme.

So yeah the word is being used in the west as a racist term so non Asians should reconsider whether using the term helps or hurts their relationships with others within the communities we frequent. I think vigilance is better than ambivalence.
