France and Germany will have it this year, we'll have to see how it evolves further but hopefully its a success!

In my opinion going to the absolute extreme isn't good either.
To me at least, this movement is about moving MORE revenue away from abroad and back into the EU so we can slowly but surely build up our own markets instead of relying on external countries.
Just because you buy a Nothing phone produced in China doesn't mean you're not doing good in terms of buying from the EU, more money is still staying here instead of buying an iPhone or Google Pixel.
Even if you're not pirating as ads from google can be dangerous as well: Ublock Origin + Privacy Badger + Decentraleyes + VPN
Why is that?
This is great information! Just wanted to check. What about Polar and Withings in that case? Do they actually manufacture in the EU?
I am looking at replacing my garmin in the near future as long as the battery life is at least a week and would love to go for an as EU as possible replacement below the 300 euros mark.
The Nothing watch was my first pick due to price for quality, but knowing this I would like to look at alternatives instead.
Don't let perfect stand in the way of better I'd say, in the end both companies still need to make a return on investment
I personally never really liked duckduckgo. I'd say Qwant is the better one of the two in terms of results (I use it for work) but for personal use I choose Ecosia for the environmental impact, the results are getting better but not on Qwants level yet
Perhaps send their support an email about it to see what they say
Startpage is also majorly American owned, so good to step away from it!
I use Ecosia for personal use and Qwant for work. So I support both!
Ecosia is my personal choice because of the tree planting as well. But I agree Qwant results are a bit better, which for me only matters while I work.
Startpage is jammer genoeg wel in handen van een Amerikaans bedrijf nu, dus hoe goed die met privacy is / gaat blijven is de vraag
