You didn't touch a nerve you took a very complicated situation and boiled it down to this man must not be budgeting properly. The real issue at play was the last thing you mentioned. You addressed it but it was one sentence. I'm not saying budgeting isn't important I'm saying you're not focusing on the issue. Sorry I was a dick but you're missing the point entirely.
Lavitz
I think he's just less weird than most of his friends. I don't think we need to call him a good guy.
I'm sure that'll happen. Keep on preaching the good word of if you're houseless it's your own fault. Thanks bud!
I mean I get it these people should be charged but seriously Chase? Aren't you supposed to be like a bank that's all about security? So we're pissing away a bunch of gov't resources to track down and charge these criminals cause Chase can't roll out a remote deposit system that works properly? Seems like the gov't should investigate how tf this happened in the first place
You got the facts straight and came to the logical conclusion but is it necessary to armchair quarterback his hypothetical financial situation?
The concept is simple, go talk to your dad and stop wasting time on the internet lol
Fundamental misunderstanding? The misunderstanding is you think the world should cater to the uneducated and uninformed. Your dad isn't a lost cause but crusading on the internet to remove memes might be.
Did you just link the meme? If that's the case let me emphasize that it's YOUR responsibility to educate your dad the world will not do it for you. You have the ability to do something about your dad and you cannot do anything about memes on the internet. Your energy responding to anything on Lemmy is wasted energy. You cannot convince someone not to meme but you might have the ability to change the mind of someone in your life. Good luck bud.
I understand your concern and understand what you're saying. My dad voted for Trump in 2016 and I spent 4 years grinding to change his mind and educate him. He voted for Joe in 2020. It's your responsibility to have difficult conversations with your dad and share your views. I'm not saying you can change his mind but you should be explaining to him what a meme is and how it's not real life. You'll be much more understanding and have a kinder touch than some rando that hears him sharing his views and doesn't take kindly to them. I appreciate your eagerness to explain your reasoning but I would argue that energy would be better spent educating your dad rather than telling the internet not to meme.
Post-honeymoon bump? You've used this term in multiple of your comments. I'm interested to see the polls after a debate. Also... @aussie.zone is a little sus
You really think it's not ridiculous to point out how ridiculous it all is? There is value in calling out the elephant in the room however there's no value in validating Fox News and giving into the grift. That only benefits Fox News and Trump.
No bud I get the tone you're bringing to the conversation and the lack of empathy for the situation.
