I found my spouse through a dating app, but we matched up really well since neither of us like this kind of shitty small talk.

If I were that lady I'd boot the hell outta that dude, such a prick.

Being opt-out instead of opt-in is icky. I don't have much faith in RedHat related projects after the recent debacles (RHEL trying to kill off Alma and Rocky and Fedora's project manager being fired with no replacement).

As a Fedora user, I'm really tired of being disappointed. Gonna wait for my vacation to switch to Debian.

As much as I dislike porn (exploitation industry etc) this is a good take.

Tbh the biggest threat is Meta's ability to manipulate public opinion. They've used it to great lenghts to make the world a worse place.

Bravo. This goes straight to the main goal of Meta: they want us exposed to their manipulation, their astroturfed content and their psychological traps. They want our attention to their content, and the best defense we can have is negating them from having any of it.

"Boo hoo tankies bad, but big corpo run by billionaires who spread misinformation and intentionally act to topple legitimate governments in favor of their fascist agenda are akshually good"

Arguing with people like you (corporate shill) is a waste of time, so I'd rather have fun instead.

Rochko has demonstrated to be either foolish or naive, and both are bad.

I'm not betting on him to having been bought, out of a minimum of trust, but it wouldn't surprise me if that's the case.

Is there a way for a Lemmy user to block content from Meta's instance? If so, I'd love to.

Lemmy's devs and the .world admins have done in a month what Reddit hasn't done in it's whole existence: having a smooth and almost bug-free experience.

Jerboa feels so damn FRESH to use now!

Boy does it feel good to have those reports and understand the work you guys do. It's really inspiring! Thanks for your hard work, everything has been silk smooth! This instance is really great, Lemmy and its devs are really amazing and I feel at home in a nice, cozy community.
