being fit becomes a way to signal discipline, long-term planning, a healthy lifestyle, competence, and so on.
Yeah but I think it'll just be a more explicit marker of wealth instead, sort of how so much of fashion boils down to "how much are you willing to spend?"
Phew, hello fellow old!
If you're into old school ska punk, Streetlight Manifesto is a lot of fun. That being said, I once got pulled on stage while wearing a Streetlight Manifesto where the lead singer of the Dreadnoughts proclaimed "great band, singer's an arsehole though."
Admittedly, most countries have wild plans; a family friend helped update Canada's plans to counter attack America a few years back.
This really just seems like "I want to complain about .ml" with extra steps.
I don't care for them, so I don't go there.
Open source projects will be used for things of which you approve and of which you do not, that is life.
Straight down the centre.
Fyi, what's happening in LA is a much more trumpian distraction; it'll suck up all the media oxygen, it's an (possibly the only, if iirc) issue (immigration) on which he not only has overwhelming Republican support but ALSO a net favourable rating with the public overall.
Oh yeah, he's absolutely trolling and doing so delightfully.
Ehhhh, trump's incredibly successful modus operandi for distraction is to bait the Left into over-reacting etc. Epstein is actually important to a swathe of his voters (as is, I assume the respect of one of the wealthiest men on Earth.)
If trump wanted a distraction, he'd sifn another ED targetting trans folks or somesuch in a way to make the Left freak out so that the fight becomes about that/our over reaction depending on your pov.
I was 34. But maybe a late emotional developer?
Yeah, I'm curious myself.
I think though, short term at least, I put money on trump. He's vindictive and petty as fuck and a huge chunk of Elon's wealth is from govt contracts, subsidies and future expectations. A trump govt can remove almost all of those and otherwise target him pretty effectively...
I have yet to see anyone provide some rough numbers so we can have some context. My understanding is that Chinese ship builders can be between 1/2 and a 1/3 as expensive as North American builders.
So, on a huge order like this, how much would we be spending to subsidize our tradespeople? What services should we cut for the privilege?
