With many phones its still somewhat easy, but you need to take the risk of e.g. breaking the back-cover (specially when its made of acryl or glass).
In an more ideal world, getting less money because people tip less, would push you to reconsider the job choice and ultimately switch to something more lucrative.
With less workers, the company would be forced to pay more to even get employes.
Problem with this idealised scenario is, it doesnt work in the US, because workers are getting screwed so much and have so little choices at those low paying jobs, they'd be the ones loosing massively in the short-term.
And with little support structures my the states and federal government, they would fail.. and the 2 party system would fail them even harder, noone cares about them in the government.. too much invested in fighting imaginary culture wars.
But then again, using less services of the business leads to the same outcome in the end, so even that wouldnt work well.
The business will always win in the short-term.
So as it is ineviteable, maybe its better to think long term anyways.
And everyone wants tips these days, no longer just a gratitude or paying low wage workers, but now also a 'bid'.. (sure not every worker might like relying on tips, but specially well paid servers prefer it as they make bank)
I dont see you getting iut of tipping either way very well without government intervention.. which i dont see happening, but you have orher big issues too..
When i was with a customer who was using one of ther VPS offers, performance was unexpectedly low and upon contacting support it was clear the small fish dont get great support answers, but rather pushed to the FAQ.
And i personally find their offerings and marketing scummy. Big promotional prices, but always some small print with a higher price after x Months.
Or just stuff thats not included by default.
I never had that with other (also very cheap) providers.
As long as it works great for you, i wouldnt see a reason to leave.
There arent that many providers offering such small ressources at all or at such a price. To be fair, not much one can do with those specs.. 10GB storage is very limited already.
But for those specs.. always free oracle tier would work too (though requires a credit card).
I dont see how e.g. arch would be super hard to maintain.
There is a nice GUI program for installing programs and updates. (like many modern distros)
If you dont want to set everything up, go with Endeavour or Garuda.
I find rolling release to be easier to maintain and keep up to date than non-rolling.
Specially if you want up to date packages for desktop use.
Good points.
Although I have flown a few times on low-cost airlines in Europe, most of them also don't care if you don't test your luck with your carry-on.
They often don't have enough time for thorough checks anyway. I got checked once, and it was fine.
I often prefer to place the carry-on in the hull when offered (personal preference and a willingness to take risks).
Additionally, when flying to or from EU (and associated) destinations, you have EU Flight Rights, such as fixed compensation after certain delays.
This is in addition to the right to get any costs replaced, like hotel, food, and taxi.
There are companies that make it very easy to enforce your rights when the airline denies them. Of course, they want a cut, but either you pay a lawyer upfront or try your luck with them with no risks.
Most fastboot options dont show the logo until windows bootloader comes along.
Though i am not sure how or why the logo is displayed when windows loads? Is that the same image? Loaded and displayed again or just didnt clear the display?
I have EndeavourOS, but with the nature of Bleeding Edge packages, things can break, so setup automatic snapshots with btrfs (you want this for your data anyways).
Bleeding Edge packages have the advantage of you getting the latest features, patches and improvements, which is required for some gaming cases.
Find the escapees, put them on the list or find a list including them for your particular use-case.
I dont have much things getting through, mostly small sites displaying things, so i just add a filter myself.
Afaik Ghostery was bought and started tracking its users.. or was that another popular extension? Happened to alot of these.. pretty sure it was Ghostery?
afaik it doesnt spoof the user-agent (which doesnt really hide your browser for more advanced scripts at all), but simply blocks the script responsible for checking.
Because Google apparently cannot afford to do such checks in the backend, same with the Ads, all Client-Side, no wonder we can easily bypass it.
Basically: everything is extra and this almost illegal marketing everywhere.
Go to Netcup or Hetzner if you have the money, much better quality.
Even Contabo is better, but if you cac, go for Netcup if you want best bang for buck that works.
Not really a problem with putting other stuff on it, apart from adhering to security standards. If you want to separate your personal stuff from hosted stuff, go ahead, but just because its torrent, doesnt make it much different.
Put it in a VM if you dont have a second machine i guess.
