Jesus Christ, it's like saying WW2 wouldn't have had to drag on as long as it did because all Allied countries could have just surrendered to Hitler.
I would hardly call it "losing badly" when Ukraine, despite months of being deprived of U.S aid and rationing their ammunition, is still preventing any major breakthrough, still holding the vast majority of country's territory and inflicting major casualties for every inch of land Russia manages to grab. This war is far from over.
Would Italy do the same if their land was being stolen?
I never thought he specifically ordered the killing blow but given that he did order him jailed in cruel conditions under a ton of bogus charges Navalny's death is on his head either way.
I don't see it as unhinged, rather Ukranian officials showing people the losses being inflicted on the invaders and inspiring hope. Makes total sense when you fear your country and people are in danger of being eradicated.
Of course Europe should stop relying on U.S military especially when it's in danger of once again falling under the control of Putin's favourite useful orange idiot.
Well... yeah? The world needs less humans and more elephants.
Whether it's the persecution of minorities by labelling them as terrorists, clamping down of freedom of speech, punishing people who even dare hint at war criticism, shutting down any remotely viable opposition to dear old Vlad or slowly killing his political rivals in penal colonies, publicly dismissing warnings of actual terrorist attacks until it's too late... yeah, they're living in clover.
I'm sure the victims of the most recent terror attack would gladly agree with you.
The Russian people have never had a regime with their best interests at heart so that's nothing new.
Unfortunate reality in war. Even though it's a just fight for the Ukranians it's an incredibly difficult decision to make for many.
From what I heard it was a bit more nuanced than that. The russian government deliberately ordered the army's air defences disabled which allowed American air power to have free reign in that battlefield. I've no doubt the americans would have beaten them back regardless but with casualties.
The first paragraph sums it pretty accurately. We conceded Chechnya, we conceded Georgia, we conceded Crimea and now he's after the entirety of Ukraine. He. Will. Not. Stop until all former Soviet territories are under Russia again. Sound familiar?
