hi is there any local cloudflare alternative becourse from my reading it seems that that using it for jellyfin is against cloudflares TOS and i would like to get jellyfin to my domain but i dont wanna pay for it, so a loxal alternative would probably be my best bet, i also would prefer not to open any ports

My experience after I chose to go like 4 months without meds is that after I have been on the meds for a few years I learned within a few months to actually be fully functional without meds, though i still function better on meds, but i can actually learn and get stuff done without meds

Yea, i do that too, except i actively work on all of them, most of my projects are it/server projects for for my self, but i do work on like 10 projects at a time, though because i dont have money for an expensive server, i use an old computer that currently cant do any of the things i need from it, so im just slowly upgrading it

I often don't remember anything of what I have done, for me it's often like a blackout, i have cleaned my own room, to then not know where anything is because I hyper focused

YES, and also when I don't ignore them think to myself that I can wait a bit before doing something and then completely forget it, it's worst with my meds, because they help me not forget it so when I forget to take it the likelihood of me forgetting the next day is very high and then the next day even worse

And at the same time think about that time someone was mean to you 8 years ago

If you tell someone to breathe with you, and after inhaling and exhaling a couple times and just tell them that they are now breathing manually they actually just can't choose to switch back to automatic breathing, so they are stuck manually breathing till they divert their attention with out noticing, it's funny though

Yep, I'm mostly doing it right now to create my own streaming service with jellyfin, and all the radarr and overseerr and the others with the pirate themed names, though currently my server computer aint powerful enough, so i need to upgrade it, and i dont even pay for streaming, my parents does, but when i move out i dont want to pay for it

[-] Oliper202020@lemmy.world 42 points 1 year ago

Well i do it for both reasons, but also piracy isn't theft

I think it's a combination of the steam deck, people learning that Linux isn't really that hard, and Microsoft breaking there reputation by spitting out windows 11 when they promised that windows 10 would be the last, and windows 11 having higher requirements so people with older computers is now looking at alternatives and the people who haven't switched to 11 being stressed about windows 12 comming, and then therefore searching for alternatives

My recommendation would be help them learn, ask them if they really want to do it, and then teach them the basics and help them with what to search for, and teach them how to google properly, because though most people use google, most people don't know how to really find something on google because they don't understand the basics of how it works

Im running true nas with i think 12 gigabytes of ram, i will upgrade soon, an i just upgraded the cpu to an amd fx 6350 but it seems when i try to run any apps i can maximum run 1-2 apps and thats without nfs or anything else, and i have more free ram, and the cpu doesn’t seem to be overloaded at all

So what can i do to get it running better, I currently run it on a hdd but i dont think that would make it just not work

Qbittorrent has search engines as plugins, just google it and choose which ones you want

So i got an ikea on/off switch, i i have it connected via zigbee2mqtt, it says there is newer firmware, but when i try to update to it, it doesn't do anything, i tried pressing the buttons on it while updating, because the zigbee2mqtt documentation for the switch said that but it still doesn't update

I have this and would like to get it working in home assistant, tried a few different add-ons and integrations, but never really got back into it, and i took a break from really working on home assistant for a few months, just kept it up to date

So i bought a floor lamp, similer to the hue signe lamp, its segmented but i dont know if wled would be a good option for it or what controller would be a good option, it has 4 pins

If you have it installed on iPhone, thats fair, i have it, to promote lemmy, but please just turn "allow tracking" of in settings, so they cant make money from the data thet collect, also background refresh, because I'm pretty sure that also allows them to get a bit of data from you
