Sort of like having to slow a large boat down before turning to go in the other direction, maybe not the best analogy. It might not be going in different direction yet but its not something that can turn on dime.

I think he set up a new account, he named "Lybrarian" here he subcribed to lots of other feeds not on the local server so that when people did a search on the local server all the feeds that Lybrarian were subcribed to would be searched as well making it easyer to find what you sesrched for.

I would like to follow other positive news groups on other servers. Is there any chance someone could do what this person suggested? "solarbird Something I do running a small instance is have a Librarian account which follows large numbers of people for the purposes of discovery. We have under 20 users but our Federation feed is pretty massive.

(We also relay a few relay aggregators which helps.)"

I like to use a service like Simple Login for almost everything, you get 10 free alises you can use each as many times as you like. Thenif domething like this happens you can have them delete them so they never go into your mailbox. https://simplelogin.io/

"WAYNE — Brian Schwartz is the overlord of a grass-cutting empire that cannot be contained.

His domain extends to the coast of the Pacific Ocean, and across thousands of nautical miles to a military base in South Korea, where one man, a retired Marine, has proudly taken up the cause to help widows of fallen soldiers."
