EDIT: Sorry my previous comment was uncivil.

Rephrased: I will not be ordered around by someone voting for genocide.

Voting for someone is literally supporting his actions.

You'll be complicit in a genocide for the rest of your life. I recognize that this won't sway you but I want you to know what good people are going to think of you going forward.

I'm not asking you to be a superhero who ends all war, I'm telling you that when you support Joe Biden you're actively supporting a current ongoing genocide that he's facilitating. It's not that I'm criticizing you for not doing enough for others, I'm criticizing you for actively aiding a genocide. All you have to do is stop doing that.

People who decline to aid and abet a genocide are a better people than people who agree to help aid and abet that genocide.

This poor boy. A child should never experience this kind of trauma.

This genocide will be a stain on humanity for eternity. Anyone supporting Israel should be ashamed of themselves. This is what they support.

Check out surprisingly pro-Palestine celebrity gossip sub /r/fauxmoi sometime.

Like half the posts are about people's takes on Palestine and the comments consistently roast pro-genocide takes and applaud anti-genocide takes. Least fascist non communist sub I've seen in a while.

The term (or the term whataboutery, which it emerged from) was originally used by pro-British newspapers during the troubles to complain that when people would whine about IRA activities others would respond by pointing out that their direct opposition, the British, were committing atrocities.

It's always been a tool for Western hegemony to avoid criticism and accusations of hypocrisy.

Honestly I wouldn't even much of a problem if they just invaded Donbas

How could they possibly invade the Donbas at all when they were invited?

[-] TheLepidopterists@hexbear.net 15 points 1 year ago

I very clearly said I supported their independence, but okay.

But you are clearly being deceitful, just in this comment you basically admit that you don't actually support their independence.

Look:

Honestly I wouldn't even much of a problem if they just invaded Donbas

The DPR and LPR invited Russia. How could they have "just invaded Donbas."

Please explain

A) The Donbas isn't really independent and you consider it Ukrainian property. (Surely not, you insist that this isn't the case) B) You consider soldiers who are in a foreign country to be invaders regardless of the relationship of the two states? (Can't be this or the US is invading half the planet right this second, including Taiwan) C) ???

Please enlighten us.

This isn't even getting into the point that multiple people made that you've ignored for half an hour, that once you're in a war with someone who wants to conquer you, sending your soldiers into their territory isn't an act of aggression, otherwise the US and the Soviets aggressed against the Nazis, which only an actual Nazi would claim.

(To be clear, I don't think you're a Nazi, just an intellectually dishonest liberal).
