That’s…a lot of assumptions not in any way supported by the linked article.

Only if they can't help it.

So you're saying you don't just have an encyclopaedic knowledge of medieval European torture methods?

Huh. Weird.

Well, I double dumbass on me, I guess.

Is that a serious question?

You’re not wrong, but I do feel like that’s an over correction. They might as well have had text flashing at the bottom of the screen which read, “Sorry for the holograms, we didn’t realize how angry some of you would get.”

I don't disagree, but the AGIMUS drones are not the exact same design as the Echo Papa 607s, nor is there any explicit connection between AGIMUS and the Minosians, so I don't think it qualifies.

I'm sure that even in 1990, they knew that making it explicit that Barclay was having sex with representations of the crew would have been a step to far, but in the cold open of "Hollow Pursuits", after he beats up Geordi and Riker, Barclay is interrupted just as he's about to kiss Troi, and it's pretty clear where the simulation is going to go from there.

I’m not a fan of any of the Kelvin films other than “Beyond”, but not because of the quality of the acting. It is wild to me that you’re willing to disparage the performances of talented and hard working people just to shit some movies you don’t care for. Clown nonsense.

Thanks!

When I decided to sign up a new account on reddit to talk about Trek, I asked myself what thing I could think of that people would want to see, and the answer was a Starfleet operated Tex-Mex food truck. So far the username has served me well.
