Yes, please!

PSVR2 is a great headset, and I would love to free it from the shackles of PS5 exclusivity. If they officially supported PC, it would easily be the best PCVR headset you can get right now.

Daggerfall remains, to this day, one of the best games ever made. I still have my original boxed copy, and several pre-patched CDs that Bethesda would mail out back in the day. I replay it a few times a year, because it's held up so well and there is nothing else that scratches the same itch.

I frequently wonder what Bethesda would be like today if Peterson, Lakshman, and Lefay had stayed at the company and Todd had been chased out, instead. Those three created The Elder Scrolls from scratch - lore, gameplay concepts, all of it. They had a TES Bible covering the story from Arena to Oblivion... and one by one, Todd excised all their influence from the franchise.

I miss the oppressive, grimdark atmosphere and lore, the complex world simulation, the unprecedented freedom, the unflinching maturity, and the epic, massive dungeon crawls.

I don't see anyone trying to make a game like that again, ever. Certainly not Todd Howard's Bethesda.

First off, wealth and power are the same thing and must be dealt with at the same time. So for a start…

  1. Aggressive progressive taxation, up to 100% (billionaires - even 9-figure multimillionaires- must never be allowed to exist).

  2. Abolish stock markets.

  3. All companies must be employee-owned. Employees share equitable ownership of the companies they work within. Profits are shared only among employees.

  4. Criminalize political spending, lobbying (aka bribery), etc. Candidates all draw from a public fund and platforms and that is all they may use.

  5. Aggressive market regulation to protect competition and prevent consolidation. Our failure to protect the market from excess consolidation and integration is the primary reason we’ve reached the late-stage capitalism hellscape we currently exist within.

Again, this is a start… the tip of the iceberg.

There is a massive amount of leftist documentation on economics. We’re not all communists, but we recognize that any system devoid of regulation/oversight/accountability will always quickly travel rightward and become authoritarian. So the question is what systems and policies can be put in place to ensure not only equity for all, but equity that remains stable indefinitely (or as close as is possible).

The wild thing is that scripture supports abortion and even demands it in some cases. These people don't know their own scripture and they don't care about scripture... they care about what the loud, dramatic white man told them on stage last Sunday. Nothing more, nothing less.

There is definitely a giant radioactive lizard emerging at that location.

Nope. I’ve written about this at length, as it’s one of many things in scripture that requires a significant amount ignorance and/or bad faith to mistranslate as “gay is bad”.

In Leviticus there is a part of a laundry list of household incest laws that reads “A man shall not lay with a male as with a woman.” The phrasing is extremely specific and particular. Why “male” and not just “man”? Why is “as with a woman” added when the command would be perfectly clear without it? What does that addition mean? Why is there no mention of women and women?

This is easy: this command was never intended for us (gentiles living thousands of years later in dramatically cultures), so we can easily miss a massive amount of important context. In the middle east thousands of years ago, if you - a man - wanted a bride or a concubine, you BOUGHT one. You owned her. If you already owned a female slave, you could freely rape her or force her into marriage or concubinage. The prohibition is not a blanket statement on consensual equal gay relationships, it was about not being allowed to rape your male chattel slaves, who had more inherent rights than the female ones.

It’s also important to point out that these laws were handed only to the Israelites who had left Egypt and wandered the desert, ostensibly (according to YHWY, per the same scripture) to guarantee the tribes survival until they could establish a new homeland.

Paul also writes about this once, using a greek colloquial term that translates literally to “male-bedders”, making it parallel to Leviticus in terms of meaning. This appears to be condemnation of pederasty as well, not a condemnation of consensual equal gay relationships.

And yes, the historical circumstances surrounding all that is no heinous to any modern audience… but for different reasons than modern Xtians paint.

P.S. This is not a defense of many awful, gut-churning stories in scripture - merely an explanation of this one specific topic within it’s own social, cultural, and historic context and scope.

Indiscriminate bombardment of civilians is NEVER "defending"... it's just mass murder and terrorism. That is never acceptable under any circumstance.

As they should. Bodily autonomy and medical care is nobody's business save the patient and their doctor. Full stop. No exceptions. Without bodily autonomy, there are no other rights.

It's called a PC. All consoles are based on them. Develop for PC first... problem solved.

The phrasing is terrible. After reading the article, what they mean is that the ending was a full reset that lets them start over.

They consider the Tom Holland trilogy (so far) an “extended origin story”.

If your child is too afraid of telling you something important about themselves or their lives, that is a YOU problem. Public servants exist to protect children from risks to their health and safety, including risks at home. Nobody has a right to abuse their children. If you want to know about their lives and challenges, you need to make yourself a safe person for them to confide in. If you are not, that's on you and you alone.
