Even excluding the the barrel cost it makes sense if you have to age a product for a while your losing money on it and need to charge more.
That's a good approach too. I've started to buy lagers that are really good at Foundation which is a generalist brewery.

It's surprising how good some beers can stay though. I had a Battery Steele Golden Path lager in the fridge for months and it still tasted great.
Other times they do loose a bit.

Probably so. Haven't used it much but Google has got so much worse. Being filled with adds and irrelevant results that DuckDuckgo probably is better now.
