Cute women in sundresses are what we all need.

I'd rejoice, but I'll believe it when I see it happening consistently. I want smaller, denser, and richer worlds. Not giant, sprawling, and barren. It doesn't add anything to a game for me if I have to walk or drive 10 minutes to get to my next location and it's just empty in between.

I don't think there would be anything harmful if you tried, but it might just flat out not work. My understanding is that the kernels that end up not popping probably just aren't able to. There's a certain amount of moisture that needs to be inside the kernels in order for them to pop. If that moisture level isn't right then it won't go off. So the fact that they didn't already pop, probably means they can't.

Not the OP but I have read the book. It's very unique and the story is told in some pretty strange ways. Parts are written backwards, in code, in the margin of the pages, etc. I think it's a great experience and I'm glad to see it on that table. I've never read anything else like it.

Why would you say that?

I watched his video doing a walkthrough of the damage yesterday. It's really sad. Not just his collection of all this stuff that he is so passionate about, but his whole house. So much damage caused by nature. I hope he's able to get things back to semi-normal soon.

The argument that it's not a real Mario game is a bit silly really. There are long standing pieces of Mario lore that came from Mario 2. Luigi being taller and more slim, Peach being able to float, shy guys came from Mario 2 and they are a staple enemy in certain other games and Yoshi games.

I don't know what is actually going on, but I'm interested in the Olympic level giant wedge of cheese hugging competition.

The casting choices are really questionable here. Looks like the casting was done to bring in a generic movie going audience that watches movies based on the cast, but this was only going to succeed by appealing to the actual fan base. Jack Black and Kevin Hart don't need to be in every movie. I'm surprised Chris Pratt isn't in this honestly.

Is it just the Hennessy that is being pointed to as the stereotype? Because I'm sitting here trying to figure out if there's a stereotype about chocolate cake as well.

Hoopla is for library systems. We are rising up against public libraries now? I don't understand that and Tubi being on this. They are both free.

Not sure which you are referring to, but they've both been around as creators on YouTube forever. They are both still actively making content. I'm not sure what memes you're seeing, but maybe you're just coming across communities with people that grew up watching this stuff more now. AVGN started in 2004 and Nostalgia Critic in 2007 so there's a long history out there.

Blocking Bots (lemm.ee)

Is it possible to block bots? I see a ton of archival bots that repost content from reddit. No one interacts with these posts and I don't care to see them. I have tried using the block user function, but it doesn't seem to do anything. I'm not sure if this is a lemmy issue or a Connect issue. When I go to the bot profile page, it always times out. I'm assuming that is because there are so many posts from the bots. Anyone else have any experience with this?
