They mimic the apple application format to some degree and it is a great way to distribute. The real detriment is sandboxing but with more support this could be included.

I vouch for the US FOIA process when it's not being stonewalled but this article has a disingenuous take. The BlackVault has in the past called on whistleblowers to testify to Congress under oath and now the goalpost has shifted. They want more to prove their statements. Even under oath DG stated the DOPSR report only clears it for it's classification not it's validity. Unfortunately, this is not enough. This is just another attack at a whistleblower who put their money where there mouth is and testified under oath to Congress.

This is a huge win for future hearings and movement for disclosure. P.S.They replicated some of the names (Moskowitz joked about this).

Personally, it does get good once you enter the fantasy world. This is soon after the "tutorial" snowball fight.

If you are referring to DG, then I feel this sentiment is misplaced. He interviewed first hand accounts with the evidence necessary to take the message to the forefront. Also, if Sen. Rubio, and Sen. Gillibrand are to be believed they confirmed that witnesses feel threatened for their lives, in some cases. Armed with this knowledge we can only guess why these first hand accounts would prefer a 3rd party intermediary providing the ammunition to the public. The only hope we can have is that in private these reports are being given to Congress, which, again, based of the senators appears to be the case.

The night after the UAP Hearing I was discussing with people about the possible connection between the craft discussed in the hearing and this very event. Truely marvelous seeing such a connection.

It is with a heavy heart and a determined spirit that I stand, under oath, before you today, having made the decision based on the data I collected, and reported, to provide this information to the committee. I am driven in this duty by a conviction to expose what I viewed as a grave congressional oversight issue and a potential abuse of executive branch authorities.

This endeavor was not born out of malice or dissatisfaction, but from an unwavering commitment to truth and transparency, an endeavor rooted in our inherent duty to uphold the United States Constitution, protect the American People, and seek insights into this matter that have the potential to redefine our understanding of the world.

In an era, fraught with division and discord, our exploration into the UAP subject seems to resonate with an urgency and fascination that transcends political, social, and geographical boundaries. A democratic process must be adhered to when evaluating the data and it is our collective responsibility to ensure that public involvement is encouraged and respected.

Indeed, the future of our civilization and our comprehension of humanity’s place on earth and in the cosmos depends on the success of this very process.

It is my hope that the revelations we unearth through investigations of the Non-Human Reverse Engineering Programs I have reported will act as an ontological (earth-shattering) shock, a catalyst for a global reassessment of our priorities.

As we move forward on this path, we might be poised to enable extraordinary technological progress in a future where our civilization surpasses the current state-of-the-art in propulsion, material science, energy production and storage.

The knowledge we stand to gain should spur us toward a more enlightened and sustainable future, one where collective curiosity is ignited, and global cooperation becomes the norm, rather than the exception.

Thank You

Try booting into console mode. Maybe there was a botched update that needs to be fixed. Below are some instructions on how to boot into tty.

MacOS is derived from Darwin but heavily modified and now closed source. While GPL is copy left, BSD has no such requirement so you can effectively make your derivative OS closed source, which NeXT and subsequently Apple did.

[-] Yubishi@lemmy.one 16 points 1 year ago

In a nutshell Android uses Linux as it's base so I don't believe they could make it closed source, where Microsoft Windows, like Apple MacOS, have always used their "own" kernel allowing them the flexibility to keep their software closed source or source available.
