Don't expect the AAA industry to do anything else than the usual CoD and Fortnite for children... but honestly, I hope the indie market to catch up this promising share of elderly gamers and making interesting products that catch their attention. If things go well, it mean that even I (also " you" and everybody else playing videogames) will have fresh deliver in gaming-adventure experience even as may grow older.

That's what happen with OpenSource-community software: if you don't have shareholders to make happy, the only one you (as developer) have to make happy are the actual users.

In this case, Google did look more shady than Apple because there were reports of Google pushing developer to not publish on other Android's store (which is an illegal anti-competive practice Google operate on some of its platform like Youtube etc.). Apple didn't need to employ such practices because alternative stores on iOS are nearly impossible.
My bad, I saw the one video from PCGamer and though it was a new think, and since the PCGamer video gave nothing, I just took the official link thinking was the actual new thing.
