@self Just did a quick test, and at least for me when I am logged in it shows the account as suspended, but when I look at that same link in a private tab it immediately redirects to the circumstances.run instance and shows the account info there.
@self Gerard's page, for comparison: https://hachyderm.io/@davidgerard@circumstances.run
Not sure if these pages render different if you're not logged in.
@self I don't think I follow anyone else on circumustances.run. If you have one handy, would you post another account name from that instance and I'll take a look?
@TheAlbatross @dgerard I just stick with all 4-3 openings these days to get around this. That may be considered inferior by pros, but it doesn't make a big difference at the amateur level and it prevents endless obnoxious 3-3 invasions.
@sailor_sega_saturn @rook It always annoyed me that the super secret death spot in that Batman episode ended up being in the most blindingly obvious place.
@dgerard One of the most maddening things about this video is realizing just how many modern apps are being developed with software that hasn't even reached major version 1.
@self @froztbyte Another big part of it is the obsession with the "young genius disruptor coder". Which has resulted in management buying into endless fads foisted on us by twenty-somethings, and then inevitably having to undo half the things they implemented 5 years later. Well, except for React, which apparently we can't get rid of but must forever keep reimplementing with whatever new new pattern will actually make it scale for real this time.
@sinedpick @self Just referring to your comment (haven't watched the video) I completely agree that there is a view among some crowds that psychedelic experiences have moral and psychological benefits in and of themselves. Which is definitely not the case, and can lead some people to some real bad places.
@dgerard As long the ranting continues unabated on awful.systems, I suppose it's nothing to get annoyed about.
