Lol at least it wasn't like that time they tried to sue people in Australia for that reason, because Nintendo forgot about time zones...

It's also Hilario that they'd sue somebody for free advertising of their game. Must be a shit title if they don't want people to see it...

I actually really enjoy GIMP as an alternative to Photoshop. My biggest problem with it is that Photoshop keybinds are muscle memory, and for whatever reason GIMP has everything totally different so I almost always end up having to hunt down what I'm after.

I've heard there are ways to get it 1:1 but I've never been able to figure that out. Admittedly, I haven't looked too hard either.

Yup, my work pulled the same Bullshit. I can work from home and we all worked from home through COVID... But now suddenly I can't

So, there's been a few times where the power's gone out or something has happened that needs us at a remote location. They send the team home. The rest of the guys willingly go. I stay back and remind them that "gee, sorry. You guys have made it abundantly clear that I can't work from home. All those times I had to take personal time... So yeah, no. I'll just hang out here I guess until everything comes back up 🤷‍♂️"

Hmm, need to figure out how I can trace my lineage back to the first recorded musician so that I can trademark some chords then go after every record label to have ever existed.

Then I'll try to track down the first ever written script so I can go after the movie industry next

Cool, then they won't have any problems with everybody downloading them for free.

If they want to cry about lost revenue, then they can turn around and sue themselves for making the games unavailable

Why don't they sue PC manufacturers for producing the hardware that led to the emulator?

Why don't people sue gun manufacturers every time somebody is murdered? Or vehicle manufacturers each time an accident happens?

Suing Yuzu for piracy seems incredibly fucking stupid and nonsensical, but I'm sure the Neanderthals in the courtroom will side with Nintendo.

"Sony is having trouble with their projectors"

Why not call it out for the bullshit that it is? "Sorry, but greedy bullshit capitalism has failed you as a customer. The lockouts they've put on their media to punish the honest users is doing its job once again to punish you. We sure hope this doesn't lead you to find alternative ways to enjoy media without all of the DRM lockouts and garbage to punish you."

Other right-wing accounts variously reacted by describing the move as Orwellian, lamenting the death of free speech and even contemplating leaving Canada for good. Some rejected the authority of the court altogether while others questioned if the judge herself had "something to hide."

Funny how they think free speech is dead. I'm sure the there's a pretty decent overlap between these idiots and the people standing in front of Town Halls and region headquarters whining about vaccines, kickdowns, and Trudeau with 0 repercussions.

These dumb fucks need to stop crying about "free speech" and start crying about what it is they really want - the ability to be degenerates and knuckle draggers without any repercussions.

I openly invite all these morons to leave Canada for good. We don't want them. Nobody wants them. Go! Move to Antarctica where maybe the penguins will put up with your dipshittery. Maybe we can set up a GoFundMe to help them afford the travel cost out of here.

"Yesterday on a day when the House and all Canadians were celebrating a new beginning, I made remarks that were hurtful and wrong," Poilievre said.

Buddy, it was more than just that day... lol

As a 10+ year Reddit user, I recently made the jump here to Lemmy and was hoping to re-join some of the old groups. Is there a running list somewhere of all the groups on here that started as subreddits?

What's the right term for them, anyway? Group? Sublemmy? Community?
