See, you're assuming that this would have taken time and money to develop. Usb3 is ubiquitous at this point, it probably doesn't even cost any more to include, or if it does, it's a trivial amount. This isn't apple "not adding a feature" this is apple purposely removing features to push people to the more expensive versions
The base iPhone 15 is still a "premium" phone, it costs 2x as much as Google's A series phones, and google never had a problem putting USB 3 on those. Maybe most people won't do this, but it's obviously important enough that they didn't do the same on the pro version. It's so weird to see people defending a company purposely gimping their phones just to give them upsells.
What does the bible have to do with laws banning Muslim clothing?
And for reference, X AE A-XII is meant to be pronounced "ex ash archangel". Which I'm sure is obvious to everyone that reads it lol
Hopefully they next mandate that it has to be able to be taken apart with a screwdriver
It does include that, mostly. It says that any tools that aren't commonly available without proprietary rights or restrictions (i.e. screwdrivers) have to be provided by the manufacturers free of charge
This is waymo, not cruise, but it's a comparison between 1 million miles with no humans behind the wheel and the human average. That's about 80 years worth of human driving, and while that's not long enough to provide meaningful data on reducing fatalities, they do show that self driving cars reduce both the frequency and severity of more minor accidents
The human override is done by an employee in a control center, not by the passengers. They can and do override without using the steering wheel, and that's never going to change. The steering wheels are already obsolete, because passengers aren't even allowed to sit up front or touch the wheel.
This is as level 5 as we're ever going to get.
Their track record is literally better than the track record of the average human driver. The data doesn't back up what you're saying at all
Did it have the option to swipe between posts instead of needing to click on each one? It was a basic feature of the official reddit app that I'm surprised more 3rd party apps didn't emulate. Joey was the only android app that I found that had it
I've quit reddit 100%. I was a little bit addicted, so I used the blackout as a way to quit cold turkey. Lemmy kind of scratches the itch, enough that I don't go back to Reddit, but I don't spend as much time here as I did there. I'm counting that as a good thing
This. And a lot of people (myself included) are willing to pay more for the convenience and immediacy of digital. Sure, there's always going to be people that consider themselves collectors that will keep physical going, but I think a lot of those people would be surprised at how small of a minority they are among the general populace that just wants to play a game
In the legal sense, "personhood" just means an entity can appear in court and defend themselves, not that it's made of people. It doesn't even give the corporation any human rights, it mostly just means that you can sue them
I don't know why anyone would be mad about than
