Or really knew how to manage their one game. They did something really cool, and then it reached its end game and had no idea what to do when that happened.

They add more ships, over and over, but more ships became harder and harder to balance. They changed resource allocation so it was less necessary to fight for space. They changed mechanics so people lost less. But it's largely a game of wealth acquisition and when people don't lose as much you have inflation and everyone had the end game toys.

They added a half dozen different currencies for different things. They added daily quests. They added login rewards.

Their end game was people fighting each other for space they controlled. But they never were able to deal with when everyone just sort of.... Made pacts and stopped fighting over space. They never really, truly dealt with n+1 being the solution. They only made it where that became the necessity.

I've played for over a decade and while I haven't logged in in a while, I still have an account.

Nice! I want a turbo gen 2 MR2 so bad. I have the mr-s convertible. It's a ton of fun, but is so underpowered. I think of it more like a gocart. You need momentum to kick the back end out, otherwise it just understeers so much. It's better once I installed a LSD after a bearing grenaded in the transmission and I had to rebuild it.

I still have my 03 WRX. I swapped the steering box for a newer sti one for a tighter turn, dropped in a '19 sti short block which increased compression, lifted it a couple inches and put in big all terrain wheels. It can go so many places it really shouldn't. I love it.

They don't even have my 2003 wrx to compare against. But it's not much bigger. The WRX has gotten huge along with most of Subarus over the same time period since the Miata came out.

My Toyota is damn near identical though.https://www.carsized.com/en/cars/compare/mazda-mx-5-1989-roadster-vs-toyota-mr2-1999-roadster/

I'd like to think I'm soft on crime. I believe it's a good thing. But fewer crimes should result in prison sentences. And the prison sentences that occur should be shorter.

I think hidden has a strong implication is that he didn't want it seen.

It sounds like it was in a bag, which to me is a valid way to carry a heavy item until he got to where he was going to practice the completely legal and allowed open-carry.

It's like saying my laptop is hidden because I keep it in my backpack and take it out when I get to a coffee shop.

I made no mention of political affiliation.

I'm just not prescribing Arturo's actions to that of a mass shooter, which I believe you're comments did.

I'm not saying their action was unreasonable, I don't know what they perceived. I just don't agree with assuming malicious intent for either person.

But the decision to pull the trigger is always a heavy one and it needs to have critical examination as to what lead to it. That decision to pull the trigger lead to the death of a bystander, even if that wasn't their intention.

It's also always possible that both sides were wrong or that both sides were doing what they thought was right.

I don't presume to know what he is thinking.

However, if I went to a protest where:

  • I was legally carrying my weapon.
  • I did not fire any rounds.
  • I heard "drop your weapon" (which I may not know was directed at me.)
  • I heard gunfire.
  • I ran to safety.

I may not know the "active shooter" was me, because I did not shoot a single round. I could consider putting my weapon away so the police, who have been known to shoot a "good guy with a gun" don't mistake me for the active shooter.

After being shot at? "Oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck. Someone is trying to kill me. I gotta hide."

I've considered getting a conceal carry license. My use of a gun, if something were to happen is to try and give me a chance to run away. I don't want to stand my ground when bullets start flying. I don't want to kill who is shooting. I just want to get to safety.

He ducks after you hear a round get fired. If someone is shooting at me, I run the fuck away and duck.

And he pulled the rifle towards his chest (not raising it) to stay balanced so he can run the fuck away from the guy who actually was shooting at him.

Weird, but watching the video I see him running from something, not towards anyone.

Are you saying when you run away from someone you drop your arms to your side? Anything you are carrying is probably pulled towards your chest so you aren't unbalanced and trip and fall.

Saying it's the "ready" position is inferring intent that may not be there.

I can't help but feel bad for her and her family.

And as much as we want to laugh at her, that doesn't help. A lot of people need to see how their mistakes affect them before they get it.

This country needs to be united, and anyone that wants to defect left should be welcomed. Show them the light and how they were lied to and manipulated. Grow our numbers. Teach people compassion.

But if we ostracize her, she'll just end up back into her media sphere and voting against the betterment of this country again.
