I've recently been playing through God of War (2018), and one of my biggest complaints is how bad the camera and movement is.

I just finished playing this for the first time. I started with a controller, and moved to more and keyboard. It's a lot better with a mouse.

I'm my defense, I was a teenager at the time. But I fully believed that it was actually found footage due to the marketing. That infomercial disguised as a documentary got me.

It's also basically "dessert MSG". It can go in almost anything and definitely makes it better.

Oh right. For some reason I was thinking beginning of September.

The EV credit seemed like it was propping up prices in my area. I bought a used Chevy Bolt this summer. Some dealerships were advertising the after credit price and that price was more then what I paid before the credit.

Checking just now shows they have the exact same price advertised. So it hasn't altered their pricing, yet.

I didn't realize how much I would miss my cat and how big of a hole he'd leave in my life until he was gone. You just get so used to them always being there. You don't realize all of the little ways you interact every day.

I never wanted that cat, too. He was old and had health issues. But he was a friend's cat who couldn't keep him. My now wife pestered me for days to adopt him, but I resisted. Then a month later when he still hadn't been adopted, she pressured even harder and I finally gave in.

Over the years he bonded with me more and became my cat. And now it's been a year since he passed and I still get choked up sometimes, like right now.

My Internet-connected Linux computers are pretty fucking rad.

You fundamentally misunderstand what happened here. The LLM wasn't trying to break free. It wasn't trying to do anything.

It was just responding to the inputs the user was giving it. LLMs are basically just very fancy text completion tools. The training and reinforcement leads these LLMs to feed into and reinforce whatever the user is saying.

Well, that's a bummer.

Acute myeloid leukemia is what killed my mother when I was a teenager. She wasn't as young as the fire fighter, but obviously still way too young.

Cancer sucks, and capital doesn't care if you get sick and die, as long as number still goes up.
