Here's another great source for PVE scripts.

I've got a R620 and it's an outstanding box for labbing. I only keep it on when I need to use it, and it's in my basement for the noise issue. I max out at 300 watts with everything started, 170 idle.

I turn it on with the idrac when needed or with Home Assistant.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! I've never looked back, it's a wonderful change.

I was an ESXi fan for over a decade until I found proxmox.

Now I use a combination of VMs and Linux containers.

I use containers for:

Pihole, Ubiquity WiFi Controller, Plex, Audio Bookshelf, imfluxdb, etc. And VMs for Home Assistant and Untangled.

You should try Proxmox. It's better in almost every way.

By only having it on when I need it.

People that have theirs on 24/7....why? I used Home Assistant to automate mine so I can bring it up remotely if needed.
