i watched one battle after another a few days ago. it was fun (just ok imo), but damn... is this how they really see us? LMAO
if you want to talk more you can shoot me a dm! the most important thing is committing.
i got introduced to my org through my friends. i think if you have any friends that are already organizing, go with them. i did this and found out that the deepest of all friendships is comradeship.
if you don't, however, i would make the decision based on three things:
- are they ML
- do they do/want to do mass work
- are they intense about political education
if yes, join. all the smaller ideological squabbles you can ignore. if there's no org like that around you, start one! black panthers started with six members.
i must organize in order to live. life without a political purpose or motivation is to accept the suffering of millions. i love organizing with all my heart!
interesting, thanks for sharing. i've noticed a lot of branding of protests as "gen z" protests but i'm not sure if theyre framed that way to give them more or less legitimacy
im new to the whole lemmy thing and admittedly im still sort of confused on how it works but I have appreciated the space. not only is it a solid ML space but I've noticed the culture is a bit different from communist communities on reddit. it is very nice, but am curious what viewing apps you use? I'm using blorp but its sometimes buggy
i dont think this is a fair assessment of the filipino protests. he singles out an english article which tindig is mentioned, but the vast majority of these protests were grassroots and some even led by bayan and other national democratic groups who are ML. I think he shows a lack of knowledge in the conditions of the philippines.
yeah its true the trump administration kind of wants to not continue the war, but the military industrial complex and dept of war aee really advocating for the war to continue bc theyre using ukraine as a research ground for fibre optic drone warfare. aside from the obvious profit motives thats why they want the war to continue.
blumenthal speculates that kirk was assassinated by israel due to his refusal to accept zionist contributions in his final months. idk how credible it is, but just a theory lol
its soo fucking clear the lsf subreddit is astroturfed by hasbara lmao
