I actually have not plugged it into the car yet. I thought I remembered apps showing up in the carplay settings immediately after downloading, but maybe that's not the case. I'll report back after I've tried.

Carplay does indeed work once you plug the phone into the car. But, it doesn't seem to support the "carplay home screen" where you see the map in one half and your music in the other. It always boots me back to google maps there, which is annoying and will probably prevent me from using this in the car much. The car icon also moves in frames at a time, is often behind where I am, and the voice assistant's voice sounds very outdated and unpleasant. Hopefully it gets better over time.
