Index should be fine (and just about any headset that uses base stations). Inside out tracking headsets still have a ways to go (monado seems to be the only solution for them but monados's Kalman filter needs work).

Thank you! I've been stuck with Gboard since there are no good 9-key japanese input apps, but this one was instantly usable! This + futo seems like it'll be a good setup for me.

I recently gave this a shot and it's cool but not perfect. You can't delete files (you can only permanently delete with Ctrl + del), and you lose the windows right click menu so things like tortoisesvn no longer work.

It's brain dead easy cooking and people that do it were probably taught by their parents to.

Thanks for clarifying, that makes a lot more sense (although still personally hard to believe. I feel like there would need to be a better immersion of all senses for that to occur). Kind of reminds me of Cotard's syndrome.

I'm in the same boat, it's really hard for me to believe this is a real thing and not people being overly dramatic. VR is nowhere near close to tricking me that it's real, but I understand everyone has a different barrier to being immersed. Kind of similar to how phantom sense in VR chat communities strikes me as being a complete fabrication and everyone has to be in on the joke together.

Messaging app everyone uses in Japan. I think the US is the only country people really use sms anymore but could be wrong.

I need maps and Line. Banking and everything else is nice but maps and Line are essential.

Does elecom actually make high quality stuff? Everything I see from then is cheap office stuff. Edit: I wonder if this was announced in anticipation of tgs in a couple weeks.

The article seems to touch on this saying patent offices struggle to find prior art since they look at previous patent documentation, not previous games.

I'd like to try reading some fiction in the 40k universe and was wondering if anyone has some recommendations. There's a lot of books to decide between so I'm a bit lost. There's also the humble book bundle going on right and it looks like it might be a good deal, but I'm not familiar with any of the authors. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Edit: following the advice in the responses, I got the humble bundle and am starting out with spear of the emperor. Thanks for all the advice! Definitely want to give eisenhorn a read sometime if I can find an epub at a good price.

First time touching paints in ages, and first time ever doing a miniature. Been having a lot of fun painting the starter kit after work. I'd like to try shading when I finish them all up.

I was struggling a lot with the first layer since the paint wouldn't stick, so I got a Tamiya primer for the space Marines. I think I may have over sprayed a bit since there's some paint that was pooling in the pauldrons.

I've also had trouble getting to some of the tighter spots on the model, especially the 4 guys on one base (the book is in japanese so I don't know the names). Nevertheless having lots of fun! Looking forward to making a kill team or doing one of the board games since I don't have anyone to play with out here.
