It's too much effort for a low effort community

They are mentioned in the article, if we can call it that. But no specifics:

Currently, U.S. restrictions include an embargo on a certain weapons shipment and limitations on various combat-related equipment, even if they do not involve explosive ordnance.

Yoo you again, great work!

Idk, I kinda agree. Look at how many shitty Pokémon games were made in order to launch alongside with a new series or movie. Those time constraints did not do those games any favor.

So I'm happy they didn't try to launch a new Fallout game when the series was released. I'll be wandering the Mojave Desert until then. And if something like 76 comes out again, I might just stay there forever.

I know this is a meme, but if you want to get rid of them:

Would it be a game changer? It means you can do overtime without being taxed for it, right? Or maybe less taxed.

That sounds like a quick and dirty way to exhaust the population even more in order to keep the bread and circus going on.

So you got the folks working 60-100 hours a week then because it makes them a lot more money, so they are just slaving their life away. Wouldn't a better fix be raising minimum wages?

Not accurate enough. All the piss and sweat would mean lost weight too.

It should be measured the same way calories are measured: dehydrate it, weigh it, and then explode it inside a machine. I wanna see how many calories go in and how many calories go out.

Also unhelpful, since, if you look at my comment history, I was already aware of the Costco butter fiasco and had made a snarky comment about it.

Are you insinuating Google is reading your Lemmy comments and pushing you news recommendations based on those?

Even though I told you don't ask me why.. you're asking me why. But I'm a good donut so I went back:

They dont have to press BOTH keys to press space, they just didnt have a spacebar key that is the correct size to fit, so they put those 2 random keys on instead until they get a permanent keycap set that all fits.

So it was trained on 4chan data?

"Daisy" is claimed to be indistinguishable from a real person, fooling scammers into thinking they've found perfect prey thanks to its ability to engage in "human-like" rambling chat, the biz claims.

lmao okay. This will work for maybe a week, and then they will smarten up

Shift is A, Caps Lock is Z, Control & Backspace is spacebar.

Don't ask me why, I just searched the image and found the reddit thread that this post is riffing from and got my answers

I don't mind politics, but I do mind:

  • AI generated images
  • Porn
  • Anime models (all the "moe" stuff)
  • Something that combines above (like thirsty AI-generated anime models)
  • (RSS) bots that post links but there's never any discussion in the threads
  • Non-English content that I can’t read or local content that doesn't apply to me
  • Games I don't play (anymore) or will never play

Is there an easier way to curate content? Browsing "new" is like whack-a-mole.

Clicking on the first two trending communities revealed a single post and a few comments. What makes it being listed as "trending"? or does it also just show new communities?

I know showing Windows is a bit of a cop out, but I was confused by this message

Is this a friend request, a space invite, something else? Can I find a description somewhere or am I supposed to get invites from people I know?

I only use new to "refresh" my list of filtered content:

  • AI generated images
  • The bazillion of RSS bots that host no discussions and just post 5 threads in a row
  • Non-English content that I can't read anyway (not their problem obviously)
  • Porn
  • Thirsty anime models
  • I probably forgot some more content I'm not interested in

Do you use "new" for anything specific?

edit: I listed "spam" in the title originally, I felt this was unfair
