Yeah, will do that if necessary. I got a nice support message from Canspace suggesting that I look into Hurricane Electric's free API-managed DNS service as well.

Tried a few gibberish .ca domains and it rejected them all. I wonder if maybe they just aren't allowed to register our TLD?

I've got a handful of domains coming up for renewal. Do you know of a low-cost Canadian Registrar that supports scripted/API management so I can keep my dynamic DNS updated?

I know about EasyDNS, but they want an extra $20/yr/domain for dynamic DNS. All the other Canadian registars I've looked at have no API support.

Home hardware is fantastic. They even have a "home supply" brand in many places that sells building supplies.

Saw this over on the other site. Seems like a fantastic idea.

You're right. Everybody should be focusing on curing cancer. Nothing else may be done until that is accomplished.

This is provincial. Write your mla/mpp/what-have-you.

I think it's a great idea, if we can restrict participation to authenticated users.

It's time for me to re-evaluate my selection of ETFs, and it always drives me crazy looking up their MERs one by one. I really wish it was in the GOOGLEFINANCE sheet function.

Is there any way to programatically get MERs? Like even a publically available spreadsheet with the most common ETFs would be better than nothing.

Totally related, and a good point. That website is pretty bare bones and it would be great if it had a way to raise feedback like yours... or submit alternatives that it's missing.

I've been trying to minimize my US buying. Can't found a way to get my kids off the US broccoli yet, but this site has been useful helping me find Canadian alternatives to a lot of packaged shelf-stable products.

I've seen a lot of made-in-USA products placed on the shelf upside down. That helps, please keep doing it!

My question: which grocery stores in town are doing the best jobs of making it clear which foods are domestic?

Well for one, koreader is awesome.

It has preferences I like, syncs reading position to anything else running koreader, and syncs my current reading queue from Dropbox.

Nope, here for a break from the drama on r/ehbuddyhoser.

Should probably find a place to cross post some of their memes here now that I think of it. The Bay of Nova Scotia was gold.

This should be gamified. Use an LLM to generate a mini-quiz on the topic to make sure I read it. Give me points for acquiring new useless knowledge, and let me compete with my friends and family.
