I hate it when games save in my documents folder. I use my documents folder for important stuff like my documents. Shove it in appdata or steamapps or somewhere reasonable.
By the way, this thing I'm doing is called nuance. You should try it some time.
That's how mastodon users comment on Lemmy communities.
In the 18th century. That's when capitalism really got rolling and when Adam Smith wrote his crap.
Alternatively: 1493
It also kinda makes you feel like shit, but in a really good way.
I keep saying we gotta fight these laws through the power of malicious compliance.
Get a job as a clerk with the department of marriages. Say "I'm an atheist, and I don't believe in marriage as in my mind it has a religious character." Sue the state for 10 years salary for firing you.
It's the same as those Florida laws. Sue your kids' school for referring to your child with a gendered pronoun. Sue the library for stocking the Bible. Establish precedent that these laws go both ways. It's the same stuff the Satanic Temple has been doing for years.
"We should kill children because they might grow up to be terrorists" ok child killer
They will become terrorists if their families are murdered by Israeli bombs. Israel is doing a tremendous amount to empower Hamas right now. You must be very invested in giving Hamas more recruits.

The median age in Gaza is 18. Most people were not even born yet when Hamas came into power. Israel is fighting a "war" against innocent civilian children. There has never been a time in history when that was normal.
I'm willing to admin. I run into a lot of nasty people and content already, and I'd like to be able to do something about it. I haven't had the misfortune of seeing CSAM on here, so thanks admins, and I understand being an admin would mean probably seeing that kind of stuff. I have a lot of respect for the admin team that already exists on this instance, honestly I think you guys are the most LGBTQ-friendly instance I've encountered. I want to help contribute to that vibe.
An expert system can't learn or increase the complexity of its decision making in real time. A human can. The fact that healthcare is a science doesn't mean the science has already discovered every fact in existence. In fact, that's the opposite of what science means. Automated systems will always fail to account for nuance while they are driven by profit seeking and cost cutting.
For example, I'm nonbinary and intersex. Patient intake forms often ask if I'm male or female. I check neither box, as I'm neither. If I tell a human nurse or receptionist this, they'll usually understand. They might even draw in a third box.
An expert system screening for different types of cancer might only look for breast cancer if the patient is female, and only look for prostate cancer if the patient is male. But I have the possibility of developing either. A human doctor can understand this and adapt to the situation easily. But an expert system will only check both possibilities if its designers were intersex-accepting.
No, kids think terrorism is based because you boomers keep calling good people terrorists.
PS: Israel and Hamas are on the same side. They both want a war. Every anti-Israel person is anti-Hamas, and every pro-Israel person is pro-Hamas. If Israel gave equal rights to Palestinians, nobody would give Hamas good press anymore. No new recruits. People would leave. Hamas' existence is a choice Israel continues to make every day.
Yeah, I bet. The internet hates nuance, it hates when someone corrects their "own side" or seeks a truth independent of sides. I got banned 6 months ago from Hexbear for saying there's such a thing as gender neutral pronouns. There was a lot of discussion about the topic, and it emerged that there were two different interpretations of what I said, and they both hated me. Half thought I was advocating they/theming everyone, and hated me for refusing to gender binary people. Half thought I was advocating they/theming nobody, and hated me for insisting on gendering nonbinary people. Neither of those two positions is my position, and of course they're mutually incompatible with each other.
But these two sides both hated me, and teamed up with each other without ever realising they had completely different ideas. Because, as you say, the fact I had a small disagreement or clarification of their views meant I had to be the enemy. Whereas those two sides had completely different views, but they didn't voice their disagreements to each other, so they were able to assume they were on the same side. Have a nuanced position like mine, in questions of religion or gender or anything else, and both sides will team up to kick your ass.
