Probably a Jazz song since the musicians often cover the same Songs over and over again and thats how they could stay very long? Dont know which one though. A Train? Misty?

Dont know if this helps,but on the f-droid store (open source app store), there is an app called spotiflyer, that downloads musicfiles from spotify as mp3.

Google Search -> Duckduckgo

Google Android -> Graphene OS, Callyx OS, Lineage (all are more or less degoogelt android. the former 2 really easy to install. Havent tried lineage for a while)

Google drive -> nextcloud

Google maps -> open streetmap (osmand+, organic maps etc) and for navigation with live updates magic earth

Google mail -> proton mail, posteo, ....

Chrome -> firefox

What else do you use from Google?

In the past years all these non Google products have evolved a lot. 10years ago one needed to be a nerd and spend a lot of time to implement all this but now its really easy to switch, user interfaces and documentations improved a lot.

I agree and still don't have a solution. I read a lot of news and I like to read different views on the same topic, like reading a very leftish and a very conservative article. But I just cant pay all of them. :/

My idea was to pay two different newspapers (one for daily news the other a monthly magazine) so that I pay at least some journalists and read the rest for free. And then change whom I am paying every year or two. For this I need antipaywall to still read the rest....

Now with some friends we have subscriptions to different newspapers and share them, but usually u have a fixed amount of devices you can connect to one subscription so more than 3 newspapers is difficult already.

I really liked this flattr idea but I think it died. It was something like you give an amount of money every month to your flattr account and then when you read articles and you liked them you press the flattr button.l at the end of the article. At the end of the month flatttr would distribute your money among all sites that you clicked the bottom with the amount corresponding to how many articles you liked... very good idea. But died(?) with paywalls.

I am also german. Of course not everyone here cares about privacy, but in average much more people than in other countries I would say. But the "average german" uses FB and WhatsApp. However, many like me never had them installed.

I think it's because of our recent history full of spying secret services (Nazis and east germany) and the education in family and in school about the history. My family is from East germany. The stasi (east german secret service) observed everyone they could with hidden microphones in private rooms, reading your lettters, force your friends to spy on you etc. So the people that raised me are very aware of spying... From my grandparents and parents stories I cared about privacy from the beginning. My parents also used Linux since I remember them using computers and gave us phones with lineage etc.. ...
