However, when I try to block from the initial post with the vertical "..." icon, I see the popup menu, but choosing to block the community does not result in the brief Toast stating the community has been blocked, ~~nor does it get added to the Block list.~~

Edit: I think it is being added to the Block list sometimes, but the Toast is definitely not popping.

You could then call a friend or family member and ask them to check on it.

Or if you had it on a smart outlet you could try rebooting it.

Are there other empty groups of seats? I find people generally spread out to avoid others.

It's certainly something I do. I'll sit next to someone (choosing the least talkative looking people first) only if there is no other choice.

Are communities with the same name, but different instances linked at all? e.g., Does /c/asklemmy@lemmy.ml and /c/asklemmy@lemmy.world have any relation? by foo in c/asklemmy@lemmy.ml
