To take over Bitcoin it would take not only devs but also miners and major exchanges to cooperate. No single government on this planet has this power.

Ending oil subsidies would most likely lead to some short-term price hikes. To mitigate you could use targeted support for low-income households but that's "giving money to the poor" and unlikely to happen seeing our current situation.

There is also a question of all the jobs in the industry. Sure many people would find jobs in renewables but overall it's a complex problem.

Another thing to mind is the potential geopolitical shifts this will bring.

You're right, this is a way to solve this issue. It's just not economically feasible to retrain your model from scratch every time. It takes a lot of money to do it and they will push back.

While I agree that CSAM material needs to be addressed it's also worth pointing out that cloudflare has some privacy issues.
