As opposed to what? Samsung, Intel, AMD and NVIDIA and others are also “rolling their own silicon”. If a vulnerability like that was found in intel it would be much more problematic.

It’s a good thing that Engineer is a protected profession and not everyone can claim it, like Lawyer or Doctor.

In the US now it’s “oh you’re an engineer? Do you have any idea how little that narrows it down?”

TBF in the Star Trek universe they also do get transparent aluminum earlier than stopping the wars.

That’s the thing. Picard has a trauma. She lost her identity, childhood, sense of belonging. It’s entirely different.

Like Bane said, “you merely adopted the borg. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn’t anything of humanity until I was already a (wo)man.”

Edit: Also, isn’t it addressed at some point that, for 7o9, her trauma was actually to leave the borg and not being in it?

But I heard people disagree with some of his stances, so it’s a coin toss between him and that other guy who quotes Hitler /s

To be fair they can’t complain about Biden being black or wearing a tan suit…

They did buy a superior client. Alien Blue it was called. Then internal politics killed it. Even today Alien Blue would still be a better experience, without any updates in the last five years.

I’ve watched a lot of Crazy SciFi from that era; B5, DS9, Farscape, Stargate.

But never Lexx. So I was wondering how well it does and how good it’s holding up the test of time.

Even Jesus thought so. "Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and unto God the things that are God's" means exactly that.

If you resell tickets for 600$ in profit, you’re not “the people”, you’re a scalper and I have no sympathy for you. This is a good rule.

People made excuses like that for Trump in 2016. Turns out he did exactly what he said he would. The country did a full Pikachu face.

Believe DeSantis when he says stuff like this. And also consider his record in Florida doing exactly that.

To a certain point it does, but you have to manage the kid. I think the best advice we got was “don’t tell the kid it’s time, tell the kid they got a minute then it’s time. Start a one minute hourglass. The kid will understand and mentally be ready.”

This works wonderfully. “In one minute we’ll turn off tv and brush your teeth.” That’s it. You’re not taking his toy out of nowhere anymore, you made a pact with them and they know exactly what’s going to happen.

Sometimes it doesn’t work; that’s because the kid is too tired or emotional. That’s still on the parent for not reading and managing the cues.
