Is it because you instinctively look to the other side of the road to see if it's time to go? That drives me nuts sometimes.

I thought it would be pretty cool and funny to set this as a power on/off button for a computer but I don't know if normal people are allowed to buy it.

I don't think about neovim being separate to vim, sorry.

I setup AdGuard DNS on the network I host my services on and made Tailscale use it as a second DNS. This let's me access services using domain names. I'm sure you can do something similar with zerotier but I've never used it.

Also, it doesn't have to be AdGuard DNS. Any DNS will be fine.

Do you get issues like crashes and videos not playing? I've been using libretube for quite some time until is just could not open a single video without crashing. I switched back to newpipe for now.

I hope the UK follows this one.

Oh, that is actually a good idea if a cheap domain is wanted.

[-] happy_saw@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Sorry but do you mean that .xyz domains only allow for a numbers only domain name? Because I don't think that's true.

It seems like a good idea to me since I already have a few podman containers running inside VMs to separate them, but the resources are eaten up. On the other hand, its Oracle.

What are your thought on putting containers into VM?

I assume its Embrace, extend, and extinguish. Its something Microsoft is know for and this worried me when they started to "Embrace" Linux. However, I don't believe big tech can do much in terms of polluting open source and the fediverse.

I dont follow this much but I can see that these companies are investing into what they think the future could look like.

Might just be me...
