Electric turbos are amazing and F1 should push for efficiency, as that's way more relevant than "synthetic fuels" imo. Something to consider is that as long as cars are fueled for the whole race, engine efficiency also reduces weight. Per this article

In the V8 era, thermal efficiency peaked at 29%. With the introduction of the V6 turbo-hybrids in 2014, that figure leapt almost immediately to around 40% - and it now stands at over 50%.

If efficiency drops from 50% to 40% for example, because of the removal of MGU-H, engines will need 25 kg more fuel to deliver the same amount of energy.

The most mindblowing thing to me is that these firms are such a gigantic economic force, they could for example invest in renewable energy or sustainable industries. They could have our future low-carbon world by the balls, like Shell or ExxonMobil do today.

Insurers and banks could divest from their carbon-intensive assets, but they will lobby and look for every loophole to protect themselves from responsibility, while being pulled feet-first into a meatgrinder.

The whinny is coming from inside the stable, as usual.

Dude barely jumped out of the car and already knew the race was terrible. That's some future world champion level awareness.👑

Unless RB keep Yuki in the main team and he keeps getting eliminated in Q1 until the end of season, I don't think it's going to be too detrimental for him. Liam and Max (and to some extent Checo) have already demonstrated that the car is completely fucked, no one will think Yuki suddenly can't drive, and if he manages to score points regularly that can only be a good thing for him.

This is according to F2 event notes, but since the track has been modified changes will surely apply to F1 as well.
