A philosophy that should not be forced on another animal against their nature.

There's some hypocrisy here!

As someone interviewed on TV asked; Are these more adverts rather than artworks?

Not much luck with the purple ones.

There's currently only 1 user that I've noticed that keeps bringing race up.

[-] ilovecheese@feddit.uk 32 points 3 months ago

Thank you for the excellent response!

The problem seems to be a mental disconnect they just cant overcome.

Immediately after criticizing some racist news story (so not all bad!) they then mocked the reporter or news reader for their appearance.

I pointed out the hypocrisy of that being just the same as how racism starts. I don't think it sunk in in any meaningful way though.

I tried that kind of approach yesterday.

Their response was to mock someone else on TV.

I've mentioned it a couple of times now. Last time I told them even if they cant see the issue with it, it bothers me and other people, so cut it out.

The response was something like "yeah other person says that to me too".

That's when I start to wonder why I bothered.

I genuinely thought it was a pretty good opening ceremony.

The themes were great, especially Marie Antoinette. By far the most inclusive opening ceremony I've seen!

Suggesting a browser or bashing a corporate brand are not the same as encouraging morally driven life choices. Is that not obvious?

[-] ilovecheese@feddit.uk 16 points 4 months ago

It's strange isn't it? It 'seems obvious' but there's such resistance, and not just from those who benefit from the status quo.

[-] ilovecheese@feddit.uk 17 points 4 months ago

Honestly, sometimes yes.

I genuinely can't understand 'peoples' need to hate on each other. All the time.

But I feel like the tin foil hat wearing loony when I share this sentiment with most people.

2nd playthrough, Cassandra Classic, strive to survive, Tribal start.

This game can be brutal, huh? I love it!

Mandatory volunteer work? Isn't that an oxymoron?

Grave of the Fireflies. Not the same type of fucked up, but I don't want to watch it again!

So I've been under the impression that locked doors could not be destroyed.

My mistake became apparent as the doors leading in from the caverns started to started to fail!

The next locked doors lead to the clown cages......

They regret nothing!

And any tips for potentially improving it?

I'm currently getting about 45 FPS with ~115 dwarfs. (limited to 150 max)

My world world was generated with 250 years history and has 1 fort that I retired after 6 years or so. 4x4 embark.

45 FPS is fine to play but it drops quickly after too many more dwarfs rock up.
