On one hand, more people using Firefox is good for competition. On the other... you're right, it doesn't seem organic.

A big part of it for me was seeing streaming companies removing episodes due to "modern sensibilities". Multiple censored IASIP episodes, removing the D&D episode of Community. I think this is going to happen more and more and I want all the content. Not just what was approved by some diversity group.

Counter-Strike:Global Offensive. 1800 hours or so. Picking it up again the past few days and god damn am I trash after having not played regularly for years.

Disappointing that false information will propagate here, just like on Reddit: https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2023/02/16/cochrane-study-masks-covid-pandemic/

Review "the science".

It’s not a mystery that, if something is in the way of your spit, you’re not going to infect as many people.

The virus is so much smaller than whatever material you're putting over your mouth that it hardly seems to matter at all. This "seems logical" but isn't if you actually think about it.

As for the Fauci gain of function link: https://theintercept.com/2021/09/09/covid-origins-gain-of-function-research/ It's less clear cut than I had previously though. It looks suspicious, but there isn't certainty.

I appreciate your perspective. Clearly handled a lot more devices than I have over the years. My experience is about 3 laptops, and then a Surface with the latter being my best experience.

When upgrading I'll look at your recommendations.

It's the best "laptop" I've ever owned. Overly expensive, but it's legitimately the first laptop I've had that hasn't died in a few years. It feels like Microsoft's response to the Mac-book.

It's exceptionally bad if one wishes to repair or upgrade, as you stated. Outside of that though - performance, reliability... it's been pretty good.

As I typed this I remembered that in the past year it's started hard locking seemingly at random requiring a full shutdown via holding the power button. So, not quite as consistent as a Mac-book.
