I haven't been using Reddit since the API stuff happened last summer, but when the GB announcement #2 came out recently, I visited the exjw subreddit and there is some great stuff going on there. I'm DF'd and have been out for a long time, but the posts over there have had me both sad and angry.

No. Please. Don't. Go.

Oh well.

A trip TO the grocery store, or a trip AT the grocery store?

Sounds like fun!

I'd like to spend some more time with this one, but that'll have to wait. Here's my attempt at a hawk-camel.

This is something that I made last fall, I think. Used Midjourney with the --tile parameter. The prompt was something about concrete and lichen. When tiled, it has some strong horizontal directionality. A person could always rotate it if they needed vertical or diagonal.

I saw the word "avocadopunk", (not avAcadopunk) and wanted to give it a shot in MJ. So, I misspelled avocado and got some weirdness. 😀

Sometimes cool stuff happens when you spell something wrong. The entire prompt was one word: avacadopunk. Give it a shot, curious what y'all get with that prompt.

You might like this one too. It's another seamless texture. Pretty crazy. Yarn 1

Thank you! Midjourney with the --tile parameter.

Thank you! I'm using Midjourney with the --tile parameter. That parameter is magic. No edits at all. I've made a ton of iterations to arrive at that image. There are a bunch of other good ones on the way to this one; just thought this one was pretty cool.

I've been experimenting with using ChatGPT to generate prompts. I've iterated this prompt a bunch to get to this specific image. Here's the ridiculous ChatGPT prompt:

Within the realm of technical botanical illustration, the talented artist Escher presents an enchanting black and white composition that showcases the intricate beauty of Foxglove, Bittersweet Nightshade, Mountain Laurel, Castor Bean, Yew Shrubs, Poison Sumac, Poison Ivy, Water Hemlock, Deadly Nightshade, White Snakeroot, Oleander, Angel's Trumpet, Datura, and Monkshood. The vibrant flowers and plants, with their poisonous secrets, intertwine seamlessly in this surreal landscape. Each specimen is meticulously rendered with precise linework and accurate botanical details, while the surreal color palette oscillates between vibrant pinks, purples, and eerie shades of green, capturing their allure and menace. The lighting technique highlights the intricate forms and textures, creating a dreamlike atmosphere where danger lurks amidst the captivating beauty, --tile

Thank you! Been having fun with these.

Been generating a bunch of seamless textures for architectural rendering and for fabric and wallpaper. This bunch have poisonous flowers as the topic.

An image from a series I've been poking away at.

Not the fanciest one, but wanting to try a cheaper one before I get a good one.

In Midjourney, I input 20 bands that I listen to and gave it some descriptors about photorealism. If this band walked on stage, I think I'd listen. :-)

Some more resources and inspiration. Great recipes on this channel.

Great way to understand where our favorite cuts come from.
