It does have a fun sound. I also kind of like that the drumming sounds like it needs a bit more practice.

Here we have two different green ones. Green woodpecker and Grey-headed woodpecker. Then we have the Black woodpecker and four different kinds of ”white and black” woodpecker.

My first sighting of a baby bird. This one is a young Dunnock who was happily preening itself in a shrub and wasn't at all bothered by my presence on the footpath some 2.5m from the bird. in c/photography@fedia.io

But I do enjoy their sound and their flights.

My favourite photo I took today was of a common bird, but its position in the tree with the sun behind it trying to pierce the tree canopy behind. in c/photography@fedia.io

@JimsPhotos@ohai.social I feel like there is an unusual amount of redwings who should have moved south but are still hanging about up here.
How do they know?
