A good reminder cops are murderers AND bullies.
They're squeezing every dollar out of everyone who isn't rich. Pricing schemes, greedflation, unnecessary required subscriptions, rent, utilities. There's nothing left to spend because the rich have it all. So of course they're spending.
Say it if it makes you feel better, but it doesn't make it true👎
We were lucky enough to buy in 2019 before everything got out of sight in our area. We used a FHA loan which required a 3% down payment and I got a first time homebuyer grant that covered all of that which allowed us to pay closing and moving costs since we were leaving in a hurry due to the small podunk town we lived in for 12 years stopping extra trash haul off and allowing trash burning in town instead. Almost every day my house was full of smoke. I had to choose between my home or my health. We were outbid on about a dozen houses by landlords. With the loan type we got stuck with a PMI, but even with that and extortionate Texas home insurance rates we still pay half of the renters in the house next to us. Although we'll never be able to afford moving now and if we had waited any longer we would have been stuck in the corrupt small town EPA violation. We paid 96k for a brick 3/1 and five years later it's shot up to 240k in value. I feel bad for the people that can't get one now because I fear it's more going to get any better when half the country cares more about voting for the people they believe hate the same people they do.
With the guarantee of high cost you also have a lot of doctors who don't care about the patient, only their insurance card. Not saying all, but lots. At least in my 14 years of chronic illness.
They've gotten great at this war of attrition. They know if they make changes incrementally people wouldn't accept all at once then most people won't notice or care. That's why I through that trash and two firesshits out in the garbage where they belonged when they started with "related" ads and app store ads.
I'm too tired for sex, but I have cookies.
If you're doing it for preservation and data hoarding then it's probably worth it to redo it, but unless you're very picky odds are there isn't much difference depending on what you saved them as in Handbrake. If you plan on keeping the DVDs then I would watch a bit of one as it's then play a bit of the file and if you don't have a problem with the difference then I wouldn't worry about it too much. DVD is only 480 SD typically anyway. I'm not an expert though, just a fellow ripper of DVDs.
I tried them a few years ago before I knew more about things like this, their CEO, etc. I had a problem with them continuously taking over my home page on desktop with their own homepage (much the way Firefox on android does now) after every update. I contacted them on social media where they went on a two day stent of making fun of me for having a problem and gaslighting me that there was a problem because zero other people had ever complained. Super professional there.
People around me don't understand why I spent 4 hours learning which UHD drive to buy and how to flash it to take back MY media.
If farmers are the main barrier to the response because they're refusing to comply with safety measures and testing then shut off all government payments until they comply. Fine them. The way our government let's corporations and business bully them it's embarrassing.
