KISSINGER IS FINALLY DEAD!

(Sorry if celebrating the death of a horrible war criminal is not good).

Welp, good thing I'm not with Optus regarding the Internet. Now phone service...

I let my boss know, I should be able to get an uber to work, but I can't receive any calls or text which will be fun when I go home. I'll have to order the uber while in the office because the wifi doesn't extend very far.

I know Critical Role didn't have that rule in their contract, especially since they bring so much to the platform.

I feel very vindicated.

Power goes out about almost an hour ago, except for some lights and stuff, very weird. So we're going through the motions of flicking the power switch at the side of the house and everything, and afterwards Mum tells us we need to turn everything off at the power point, and so everything is slowly working but my stuff. Mum comes in and sees my cords and then starts to say that the reason why everything went out might be because of me. I get annoyed and defensive because she instantly tells me that it could be my fault, and she then gets snarky and annoyed when I tell her that it can't just be me and she says she's not accusing me. Even though she never said this to my sister and only said this after she saw my stuff and went "Jesus Christ!".

Anyways everything starts turning on again, awesome great, lights are working. Mum goes back to bed and turns on one of the power points in her room and guess what happens... everything goes out again. We find the culprit and its one of mum's sockets/power points that is causing the issue. So fuck me right?

Always, and I'm always so scared to drop something down there too!

I keep meaning to read and catch up on everyone's life but I get so busy that by the time I remember it's bed time.

But my planner came in today, super excited but oh my God Auspost are something else (not new lbr). But I got the "hey your parcel has been delivered" app message. I'm excited, I check it and see ... That's not my work. It's a photo of a door and some light brick and I'm like ??? Huh? So I took off during my lunch break walking up and down near where work is to see if there's a house that matches the bricks or door but I get nothing.

Until I think "maybe they've dropped it off at 11 instead of 18". I've put down that the address is 18 unit 11 because work is in an office suite. 11 on my street is a retirement village, also private property. Luckily there was a guy coming out to walk his dogs and I asked him if it was okay to go in there (because I've never had to visit retirement homes) and mentioned the misplaces package. He tells me where reception is, I go there, a tradie helps me and tells me where 18 in the unit section is, I go out and a woman who works there said the package is actually in the reception area.

So I was able to grab it. But like Jesus Christ, I'm also in pain because #chronicpain4life, and I wasted half an hour of my lunch break because some idiot couldn't understand that I put the correct information in. I just, ugh.

Got paid from work (not PAX yet) and I finally bought that planner I've been dreaming and talking about for a few months now. And got some pens I really like, two highlighters and some stickers. I'm keen as for next year, last time I had a proper diary was ten years ago when I was in my last year of high school.

Edit: I think I bought the last one, oh my God.

Tell me about it... They shit me up the walls.

Now they have their "say no to the voice" rally with actual literal Nazi's. I mean conspiracy theory territory can get alt-right very quickly but to have actual Nazi's at your rally... You fucked up.

Favourite game is Mass Effect 1, but I don't think I have a pet peeve because a lot of them have been said before (love the Mako though, it's just that the planets BioWare built are all fucking hills!)

But I think my pet peeve for Mass Effects 2 are 2 things.

  1. The fact that there aren't scars in 2. Unless you use mods, but I like having my Shep's look battle-worn.
  2. That BioWare made Shepard work with Cerberus. Like I get it in the idea of "the Alliance isn't saving people, but Cerberus did". But it feels so wrong especially if you played Mass Effects 1 where you can see the experiments Cerberus did on civilians. That and if you have the Sole Survivor background, it's a real slap in the face.

I know that they did 2 for storyline purposes, but the fact that you can't push back or anything makes 0 sense. And they also did it for people who never played 1. I just, ugh. It angers me. I love that 2 gave me my Garrus romance, but man, I just... yeah.

It's already out! It's on Amazon Prime (ugh) but it came out in April. I've seen the first 2 episodes and they're really good.

Yep! Especially buying like ethically sourced yarn and stuff. It's why I buy acrylic yarn because buying yarn from local dyers is difficult as.
