I do not own a blu ray drive with the ability to burn discs. I am trying to accomplish the 12.02 exploit on ps4 without having to buy one. However I would also like to be able to burn new discs for exploit updates if necessary, so buying just a burned disc isn't an option.

My ps3 is already on custom firmware, I was wondering if I were to install linux would that allow me to use the drive to burn discs? Is the drive only capable of reading discs? If so I guess it's a bullet I hsve to bite.

The mod is supposed ro inject 3 dlls on launch from what it seems (winmm.dll, miniupnpc.dll, and discord-rpc.dll. there is also another dll located in the SMT/Scripts folder provided by the mod called smt_release.dll.) the mod comes with a launcher but it seems to only set the launch options "-mp" in steam it doesn't inject the dlls itself.

When you launch the game with said launch option you are supposed to get a new menu with options "host" and "join". However the dlls do not seem to inject properly and therefore it loads the normal spiderman "continue" "load" options.

The devs have said that linux isn't a priority right now, but I feel that with enough elbow grease it might work.

I have tried running the mod through lutris, heroic, and proton through steam and it still won't budge. I even ran the launcher through steam and it sets the proper launch options and launches the game but it still doesn't inject on launch.

Any help is appreciated!

EDIT: it seems to be an issue with the winmm.dll, all other dlls allow the game to launch, just with no multiplayer mod.

Was hoping to give this game a shot, even though it is practically abandonware at this point.

I downloaded the ARMGDDN repack/crack of star trek bridge crew. I was able to test it on a windows partition to see if online still worked. On the windows partition not only was I able to get past the ubisoft connect error, but I can also create private matches and join public ones as well. So that gave me a sliver of hope in getting it working on linux!

It seems people have luck with a legitimate copy of bridge crew on protondb.

I transferred the files to my personal linux rig and tried proton, bottles, and lutris. No dice. The game opens but says "connection error, unable to connect to uplay service". I think it specifically has to do with the emudata folder inside the game folder. It is the folder with what seems to be cracked ubisoft connect credentials, but when I launch the game through proton or wine it doesn't even look for that folder/files.

Any help to rid me of this connection error is appreciated!

Edit: the error is in the game. The game is able to launch, and it can even be launched in vr. It asks you for controller input from a headset or gamepad. Once you do it flashes "connecting..." For a few seconds and then gives you the "could not connect to uplay" error. On windows when you launch and confirm input it just loads right in.

Edit 2: I have tried using the repack installer executable instead of the installed game files from the windows partition. I attempted this with both proton and lutris and still no luck.

I have also found that the ARMGDDN repack installer did not install ubisoft connect on the windows partition, it seems to have just supplied the ubisoftconnectinstaller.exe and done nothing else with it.

Edit 3: it has to do with dll injection of some sort. i am having yhe same issue with a mod on another gsme not properly injecting the dlls that come with it. So I assume this crack comes with dlls that are not injecting properly on launch. I have no idea how to get it to properly inject the needed dll files. I am also unsure as to which dlls are responsible for bypassing ubisoft connect.

EDIT: TITLE FIX: I am trying to figure out the name for this ham sandwich recipe and I am losing it!!

I have been trying to find this h sandwich recipe my mom used to make all the time for me as a kid so that I can attempt to veganize it!

It was this ham and cheese slider recipe, usually these types of sandwiches could potentially be seen at mormon funerals/gatherings (at least most of the ones I was drug to 😂. These ham and cheese sliders were made with ham, I think some sort of white cheese (maybe swiss?), slider bread, and the piece of resistance was the sauce. Oh... The sauce.... Its like this Mayonnaise with herbs in it I think. Maybe parsley? Oregano? I have no idea but this sauce made the sandwich. Paired with the whatever cheese the sandwich made it so moist.... The sauce made the sandwhich a sweetish savory.

Again I have no idea the name of the sandwich, looking up sandwich ham & cheese sliders just gives me.... Sliders with melted cheese and ham. Idk if any of the ingredients I listed are correct, it's just what it looked/tasted like (from memory)

I'm pretty sure you bake these sliders with the sauce and everything put together, my mom would always pull out cookie sheets/ pans from the oven full of them.

I have a steam deck and it automatically switches to the tv audio. When I installed bazzite on the legion go it automatically would switch too. However both steamos and cachyos do not automatically switch. Idk if this is because they are both arch based, but the steam deck automatically changes.

Any help with this issue is appreciated!

I was recently thinking of running for office within my locality. I would probably have to run under the purview of the Democratic party purely because of the outreach and funding. However, I despise the Democratic Party and have felt we need to do away with it due to it's radioactive nature (especially within my y'all queda red territory). In my eyes now there are no good politicians as there are no good cops. I feel as though working within the systems rules has become cyclical. We have to work with what we are given because it is all we have, democrats get elected, nothing drastically changes, rinse and repeat. Each local position is restrained in ehat they can do.

I had went to this town hall meeting where ex democrat representatives were speaking (our currently elected republican representatives are not holding town halls so these ex-representatives stepped up to listen to people's concerns) about a month ago and spoke my piece about organizing and making sure your neighbors are ok. I also spoke on organizing a general strike. That seemed to resonate with a lot of people. I had many people come up to me after and tell me I should run for office immediately. Especially because of how young I am. Though I am conflicted.

I feel as though we needed to create a new party, but now we don't have time for that type of organization. Climate change is a real threat that isn't talked about and engaged with as much as it needs to be. Time is running out. I feel as though now is the time to build up grassroots mutual aid movements to make people less reliant on the systems in place (growing food, talking to neighbors and making sure they are ok, etc.) However, there is still some part of me that is screaming these positions are important only because of the potential opponents that can take the reigns instead.

So my question is comrades, do we keep working within the cyclical bounds of the system, do we ditch it and focus on your community, do we do both?

For some reason my phone isn't letting me switch to other profiles. The button "switch to 'profile name' " is grayed put completely. I have tried restarting and still no dice. Running on a google pixel 8.

What a ride! I will admit that my emotions did not stay steady throughout the game.

I started and found nothing remarkable about the gameplay. Which was a real head scratcher for me because I swear I recall people loving the gameplay. So much so whenever I would see new shooters coming out (Atomic Heart is the only one I can think of off the top of my head right now) everyone would say "that looks like Bioshock, and I am now excited". Maybe it's one of those scenarios where you had to be there when it released, and nothing like it was out at the time. I had also gone in with the expectation that it was a horror game. Thematically, yes there is some horror to Behold. However, I was never scared. Nothing made me clench my cheeks in fear of the chase. With the big daddies I moreso found them incredibly annoying. Getting slammed into a wall at mach speed loses it's charm pretty quickly (oh and same with the whale noises, fucking ear grating after a while). BioShock not being scary was probably the biggest letdown for me.

What completely enveloped me though was the setting and story. Holy shit is Rapture a beauty to behold even 18 years later. There were moments where I would just stare out the glass and look for a few minutes. I don't think I have ever played a game in a setting quite like this. The game still holds up really well in the graphics department.

Where the game really picked up for me was the Cohen section. I had fun making his little art project with him then killing him after he told me to leave. That is also when the story started really picking up for me. I'll be honest the intro kind of made me roll my eyes with Atlas begging me for help. I don't really care for "stranger shows up to shit being fucked up, locals act as if said stranger is a force to be reckoned with even when they are just an average Joe" setup for a plotline.

What really kept me going was one specific character, Andrew Ryan. This fucking dude, I have seen well written villains/characters. Holy shit though does Ryan take the cake. I was absolutely infatuated with everything he had to say. He is a god damn libertarian monster, but holy fuck he feels like a villain that is insanely stupid but also insanely intelligent at the same time. Anytime Ryan was speaking I stopped immediatley what I was doing just to hone in on his crazy ideological ramblings. Certain quotes of his displayed throughout rapture have been eating at my brain. "No gods or kings, only man" Specifically. At face value seems like a good quote! However if you really think about it, it signals the only accountability we face is with each other. Which is also later reflected when Ryan talks about him only caring about him and you only caring about you "such is nature". The voice actor fucking nailed this role as well. God. DAMN. He just felt so well crafted and thought out. How fun it must have been to write such a character.

Now the least surprising to me was Fontaine. I really enjoyed hearing the Fontaine uprising through the eyes of Rapture people wanting a better life that Ryan did not care on providing. Yet Fontaine saw opportunity with the desperate. It fundamentally shows why such an ideology is completely unsustainable. "Fontaine fellow… he's a crook… but he's got the ADAM, and that makes him the guv'nor." "Money" talks in this society. I did see Atlas being evil from a mile away, heck I think I even internally said once "is he Fontaine?" But never really was invested in him all that much to care. I cared about Fontaine before I 100% knew he was Atlas. After the facade was gone I kinda lost the will to care.

The end boss is a joke especially compared to absolute turret onslaught around every corner in this game. Seriously. Fuck. Turrets.

Overall great story that I personally felt was held back just a little by some game design choices.

I am facing a really weird issue with Element Call on my Matrix Dendrite server. It seems that only the person initiating the call can unmute and use videochat. The recipient of the call cannot talk even when unmuted or show video when enabled.

Nothing in the Dendrite container logs shows anything out of the oridinary.

I am using a machine that is running Ubuntu 20.04 with Docker and CasaoOS. I use Cloudflare Tunnels for my Matrix server. The client devices are both Google Pixel 8s running GrapheneOS. All of the proper settings for the app should be enabled (unrestricted battery).

Here is a picture of what the recipient of the call's video looks like to the person who initialized the call again no audio is present from the recipient either.

On very rare occasions have I gotten audio and video to work for both memebers of the call. It is very inconsistent. I am curious if this issue is in anyway related to the push notification issue I am also having.
