My question was why do you think degoogling will help you with notification sync.

Why do you think degoogling will help with that?

they also give a keyboard for that extra screen size

Well, there is a separate system for pirating prevention, the Google Play license check. That has existed for years.

ChatGPT itself doesn't know where it got the info from, so it makes up links and names - it's a language model, not a search engine.

On the other hand, if you manage to find a reputable source and give it relevant metadata, it can format a nice citation for you, saving you time on that instead.

DDG has a built-in option to determine whether you want to see ads or not.

Remember that all apps need to target the almost-latest target API at least. That means Android 13 for all new apps and app updates since Aug 31.

And the money won't go to Firefox, but Mozilla's other projects.

Got affected by this, and the Edge literally showed a notification bar on how to disable this (as a user). So, slightly annoying but not too big of an issue as users can opt out right away.

The parent may then be asked to consent to a scan of their face using a front-facing camera, which is then used to "accurately estimate the parent's age."

the only piece of information that is communicated to the company requesting [Verifiable Parental Consent] is a 'Yes' or 'No' determination as to whether the person is over the age of 25.

So that's settled, people under the age of 25 can no longer have children.

Please let us disable using back button to open the drawer and on next press, then a prompt to exit the app. I want Connect to behave like any other Android app does - exit the app immediately if there is no navigation stack left.

Could be a library or feature that the devs didn't consider worth maintaining on older devices.

For context, the OP appears to be using Android 5 or 5.1, released in 2014/2015 respectively and is used on 1.1-1.3% devices worldwide.

Mis oleks, kui u/sunaurus peaks natuke r/Eesti moderaatoritega nõu, et teha reklaami ja kolida vähemalt osa rahvaga siia? Oleme ju digiriik, inimesed kohanevad muudatustega 😄

Have you considered doing something similar for Mastodon, to allow interacting with toots within Lemmy UI? I know the opposite is possible and Kbin also has some kind of integration, but that doesn't seem to fully work at the moment either.
