When I was in college, libreoffice calc was a good enough Excel alternative to get me through finance, accounting, statistics and business science. I graduated in 2020 to give you some perspective. Worst case you run a pirated Windows VM with pirated Office. Also, shame on all the downvoting fucks who probably are too privileged to have any business being on this community

I play a lot of older AAA games and piracy has been a life saver. I tried playing Assassin’s Creed 4 with a legit steam copy and couldn’t even play offline because of the stupid Ubisoft launcher. With a pirated copy, you skip the launcher and get a better experience than a paying customer. Just stick to reputable groups like fitgirl and you’re fine

The newest car I’ve ever owned (and currently own) is a 2007 model. Not gonna lie, with all the BS getting loaded into cars nowadays I think I’ll keep it that way. It’s easier just to have a couple of cheap shitboxes in the driveway that way you have something to drive when one of them inevitably needs work

That ship has sailed a long time ago

Sitting down, back to front while pulling my sack out of harm’s way

I’m an alcoholic and I like putting dumb shit on when I’m drunk

Makes sense because the Series S is dumb cheap. Only the Steam Deck can compare in terms of value

Libgen saved me so much money in college. They provide such a valuable service

Nothing, OP just wanted an excuse to use the buzzword of current year

Shit a million bucks will at least buy you a house and then some

I’ve had two remote jobs as a developer so far. I got the first one through a close friend and the second through a coworker from the first. The second job asked us to relocate and come into the office after a year so I quit. I’ve been living off savings overseas for the last year now with no job.

I understand networking is very important but I don’t seem to have any good connections at the moment. I do get messages from recruiters on linkedin as well as job boards like Dice, but many of these are for roles beyond my experience level or hybrid/in-office

When the first iPad came out I wondered wtf was the point of a tablet, and I’m still wondering

Stuff like this is why I never buy new games. Not only can you not trust the critics, but players get so blinded by hype and buyers remorse that they’ll ignore everything bad about the games they love.

It’s always wiser to wait for the hype to die down and see what the retrospective consensus is
