Of course they can, I never said they couldn’t. I just personally prefer YouTube’s app UI and UX over the website on mobile.

You could check out uYouPlus then, it doesn’t require jailbreaking or anything but instead works through “sideloading”. I’ve used it for years and it’s honestlygreat:

There was actually a project on github that claimed to allow downloading of Spotify straight from the source with drm bypassing called XSpotify but it was taken down by spotify before i got to try it: https://github.com/meik97/XSpotify

Obviously take this with a grain of salt, you should probably read the source code before attempting to run it

I created a bot made with Python and Pythörhead that can detect reposted images, even across multiple different Lemmy instances. It's heavily based on the RepostSleuthBot from Reddit.

I know that there might not be a need for such a bot on Lemmy right now but it was a fun project nonetheless.
