Thanks. I'd check that out

Thanks but what I'm referring to happened a few minutes ago

Well, I can't log into my account using the Web client...smells suspicious

Web client (lemmy.world)

Am I the only one that saw the change of LemmyWorld to Israel with the redirection to obscene sites for a brief moment? Talking of the Web client

That brings the question to mind, what's the difference between coding, computer programming or programming and software engineering? Is there actually a difference at all?

Lol. Why that though?

I need a little help here. I run into an unexpected occurrence, one that leaves me still wondering how it came about. I logged into my Lemmy account to disable 2FA because from my engagements, it's not functional (if it is, kindly help me). I was required to provide a token when I couldn't even obtain the codes then I run into the most bizarre thing ever...what looks like porn sites. I'm confused, perplexed to say the least. Is there something I'm not doing right? How did this come to be plus I'm making use of the Brave browser which does a fair job at keeping ads at bay. I don't think they are ads. Am I the only one that has encountered this and if no, what's how did you go about handling it? Thanks!

Feedback (lemmy.world)

I'm impressed with the feedback I'm getting. I didn't expect my post to get much response or engagement (traction if you are from Mastodon). Grateful for the help and warm welcome!

There's hope for the Fediverse; Rome wasn't built in a day

Thanks for the feedback though! I'm also search and see what I come across. I'm seeing more of 'it being in development' with others that aren't straight to the point. On the look out! It's been a pleasure

Phew! Made my work easier. Thanks for the pointers. I appreciate it 🤝

Thanks so much. I'm an Android user though and I'm making use of Jerboa. It is not bad of an app. It needs some polishing here and there obviously but it's manageable. Grateful for the tips in searching and keeping track of comments and posts. I'd appreciate some help with URL's for posts. How do I go about it and what's their relevance?

[-] melchus_od@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Thanks for the warm welcome! Hoping to find my feet soon and testify just as you have. Any tips you could give?

Welcome to the fold! You seem a bit more versed in the terminologies and the register used here. I'd love to be taught the ropes to navigate my way around and make here home. I have a question on the URL's and their use and appropriation. Think you can help me?

In the of 'spirit of doing my part', I'd love to develop third-party client and other resources to give the community the needed support. That's my part

Introductions (lemmy.world)

Hello, compatriots! I'm new here (joined a few hours ago) I'm more than glad to become a part of what is referred to as the 'new face of Reddit'. What brought about my joining was my search into the Fediverse after Threads come out with the promise of being a part in future iterations of the application. With the take over of Twitter which left many disgruntled leading to the masses at Mastodon (of which I'm one) and Threads coming up strong just at the nick of posing a stern, I can only but imagine what the future holds Decentralisation and Web 3.0 seems to be the direction we are steadily heading though its development has taken a dip over the years. I'm glad to be a part of this and would love to see what becomes of the new developments and the Fediverse!

Long live the Fediverse, Long live Lemmy!
